Tire repair open now in Boise: the weekend is empty

Put in the address and the vehicle and the booking flow shows the next available window and the price together, in a couple of minutes. No callback, no estimate visit, no number held back until somebody has your phone. If nothing is open today, you see that too.

This page exists because in Boise the availability story is more interesting than the price story, and both halves of it are published.

The one mobile installer here does not work weekends

Of the fifteen Tire Rack recommended installers listed for Boise ZIP 83704, exactly one carries the Mobile Installer flag: Roadz Mobile Tire, a Meridian business serving Boise. Its hours are published in two independent places, both read on 2026-09-20, and they agree.

On its own locations page: "Monday - Friday : 9:00am - 5:00pm (After hours available)". On its Tire Rack installer page, listed separately by Tire Rack: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed Saturday and Sunday.

That is the whole finding. The mobile tire category sells itself on convenience, and the only mobile member of this metro's recommended-installer directory is a weekday nine-to-five.

So the shape of the market, from published pages rather than from an impression: the Boise storefronts run to six or seven in the evening and most of them open on Saturday, while the mobile side largely stops at five and mostly stops at the weekend. A weekend or evening mobile slot is an unoccupied position in this metro on the evidence of pages read on a single day.

Two caveats we will not skip. "After hours available" is Roadz's own phrase and we have not tested what it means. And a Google listing's "open until 6 PM" is a platform record, not the business's own published schedule.

What we are not going to tell you

We are not going to publish a count of how many mobile tire businesses Boise has. Three map queries returned twenty listings on 2026-09-20, and most of them are not this job: four are truck and trailer operations, one is a bicycle repair shop, three are storefronts, one is listed temporarily closed, and several are general mobile mechanics who also do tires. A number built on top of that filter would be a number we invented.

We are also not going to tell you which listings with out-of-area phone numbers are real businesses, because nobody has rung them. When somebody has, we will say what happened.

What actually decides whether we can come today

Three things, in this order.

Where the car is. We need level, paved, legal ground with room to work at one corner of the car. Not the whole driveway — one corner, with room for a technician and a machine, and headroom above it. Tell us what the space looks like when you book, including the awkward parts. If we arrive and it is not safe to work in, that visit is not charged. What is wrong with the tire. A tread puncture no larger than a quarter of an inch is repairable. Shoulder and sidewall damage is not, by anybody. Nobody can tell which you have until the tire is off the wheel, and that inspection is the job.

What needs fitting. We supply the tires we fit, so local stock in your size is part of the answer on a same-day replacement. We do not mount tires bought elsewhere and we do not sell used tires.

Why a weekday slot works better here than you would guess

Boise is unusually well set up for a service that needs somebody to be at the address. In the 2020-2024 American Community Survey, 17.6 percent of Boise city workers work at home, 18.5 percent across Ada County, and 28.6 percent in Eagle — the highest of the thirteen ZIP Code Tabulation Areas in our Boise research and no wider population than that. Inside the city the range runs from 14.0 percent in 83704 to 24.4 percent in 83702.

Roughly one Boise worker in six is at the address on a normal Tuesday, before counting retirees and shift workers. And the city's mean commute is 18.9 minutes, derived from the ACS aggregate travel time table, so a van crosses this service area quickly. Those two facts are why the weekday gap in this market is worth filling as well as the weekend one.

One thing this is not: emergency roadside. We come to a fixed address where the car is parked, at home or at work. A car stopped in a live lane needs a tow first.

Our price: $145 for the first tire

A mobile puncture repair on one tire is $145, and $50 for each additional tire in the same visit, with no separate call-out fee. It covers getting to the car, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on.

If the tire cannot be repaired, the inspection is charged and the repair is not. Where a technician actually attends and inspects the same day, the same-day element of the booking stands; if no same-day visit takes place, it is refunded. If the space is not safe to work in when we arrive, nothing is charged.
