Prepare for mobile tire service at an apartment or garage

An apartment or parking garage can work only if the property permits the service and the installer approves the actual work area. A parking address alone is not enough. Send access and space details before booking, especially if the vehicle is underground, immobile, or behind a gate.

There is no universal garage clearance or work-space rule for every mobile provider. Confirm the assigned installer's requirements, rather than treating this checklist as permission to lift a vehicle.

Get a site decision before a time slot

Use this checklist to ask for one of three answers: approved as described, approved at an alternate location, or not suitable.

A leasing-office approval does not confirm van access. A van fitting through the gate does not confirm that the work area is suitable. Keep those decisions separate.

Ask the property manager first

Send this short question before you reserve a service window:

"May a mobile tire technician work on my vehicle in [lot or garage and space]? The technician will need vehicle access and room to work. If this location is not allowed, where may I move the car for the visit?"

Keep the manager's answer. Then send the site details to the tire provider. Do not treat the manager's approval as the installer's safety approval.

Why garage details matter

The useful lesson is to ask for an explicit site check. Do not assume "mobile" means every space where a car can park.

Send this apartment request

"My vehicle is in [building/lot], space [number], at [address]. The entrance clearance is [posted measurement]. Building management [has/has not] approved onsite tire work. I have attached entrance and parking-space photos. Please confirm whether you can work here, where you can unload the tires, and whether I must meet you outside."

Share gate codes through the provider's private booking channel, not a public review or comment.

What should be ready on the day?

Have the keys and wheel-lock key available. Clear the agreed work area and arrange the agreed contact person. Keep children and pets away from the technician's workspace. Confirm where the technician can unload the ordered tires.

Do not try to remove stuck wheel locks yourself to rescue an appointment. Tell the provider if the key is missing before dispatch. Ask whether that changes the service plan or creates a visit fee.

If the car cannot move

Say so at the start. Do not drive on a damaged tire to reach a preferred work space. Ask the provider to assess access and whether a different recovery service is needed. Mobile replacement and roadside spare service are different jobs.
