Seasonal Tire Swap Cost: $180 or $340 at Home

HopTire's seasonal changeover costs $180 when your stored set is already on its own wheels, or $340 when it is loose tires. Both prices cover one scheduled visit for one to four tires at your address, including tax. You keep the set we remove. Storage is not included or available to book.

A mounted set replaces the complete wheel-and-tire assemblies on the car. Loose tires must be mounted on your existing wheels and balanced, so that job needs more work. The price is per visit for up to four, not per tire and not for two visits a year.

The mounted-wheel service includes a TPMS relearn where the vehicle supports it. Replacement sensors, wheel repairs, alignment, storage, and moving a set from a separate address are not included. Tell us about special hardware, wheel locks, or damaged wheels before the visit.

A same-day request adds the fee shown in the form. It does not guarantee same-day availability. There is no separate call-out added after the displayed total. The old temporary Boise and Chattanooga surcharge expired on October 20, 2026; the prices above are the current scheduled rates.

What should I have ready?

• The complete seasonal set, accessible at the service address.
• Your vehicle details and any known fitment differences, including different front and rear sizes.
• The wheel-lock key, if the wheels use locking nuts or bolts.
• Details of previous leaks, damage, repairs, or long storage.

The technician checks the stored set before fitting it. A tire that is damaged or unsuitable for the vehicle may need replacement rather than a changeover. A set that fitted another car is not automatically suitable for this one. Use the tire-size photo guide if you need help recording the sizes.

When should I book a winter tire swap?

Use your local conditions and the tires you own. Michelin recommends fitting winter tires when daily temperatures consistently fall below about 45°F. This is planning guidance, not a mandatory date. Do not wait for snow if cold conditions are already consistent. The winter-tire timing guide explains the broader decision.

If you drive from Denver into the mountains, check COtrip's live road and chain status before the trip. CDOT's traction rules explain the I-70 mountain-corridor season from September 1 through May 31 and why tire type and tread matter even on AWD vehicles. A booked swap does not prove that your vehicle meets an active road restriction. In Boise, Idaho's driver manual gives October 1 through April 30 as the usual studded-tire window and notes that the state can adjust the dates. Check current state notices before using studs. What happens to my off-season tires?

They stay with you. HopTire does not currently sell off-season storage. Decide where the removed set will go before the appointment.

• How much is a winter tire swap for four tires? HopTire's scheduled visit is $180 for a set already on its own wheels or $340 for loose tires that need mounting and balancing. Tax is included.
• Do I pay less for one or two tires? These are visit prices for one to four tires. They are not multiplied by tire count.
• Does the price cover both autumn and spring? No. It covers one visit. The return changeover is a separate booking.
• Is balancing included? Mounting and balancing are included for loose tires. A mounted-wheel swap does not include a separate rebalance service.
• Can I continue without knowing which set I have? Yes. Choose "Not sure" and describe the set in the extra details. We can ask for a photo when we contact you. An unknown set is not a confirmed mounted-wheel price.
