Mobile tire repair in Boise, and who is actually out there

A mobile tire repair is a puncture fixed where the car is parked, at home or at work, rather than at a shop. You keep the day; the tire comes off the wheel in your driveway instead of in a bay.

This page does two things. It tells you what the visit is, and it tells you what we found when we read every mobile tire business in this metro on 2026-09-20 — because the Boise supply picture is unusual and it is the sort of thing a local reader can check.

What the visit is

The wheel comes off. The tire comes off the rim. The inner liner is inspected from the inside, because a nail that looks tidy from the tread side can have been travelling around inside the casing for a fortnight. If the damage is repairable it gets a plug and a patch together, fitted from the inside to the tire industry's standard, then the tire is remounted, rebalanced, the TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel goes back on at the placard pressure.

What is repairable is not our judgement call. A puncture in the tread area, the flat band that touches the road, is repairable if it is no larger than a quarter of an inch. The shoulder, the curved corner between tread and sidewall, is not. The sidewall is not. Those limits are the US Tire Manufacturers Association's, and a shop offering to patch a sidewall is telling you something about the shop.

The supply picture, counted rather than asserted

Of the fifteen Tire Rack recommended installers listed for Boise ZIP 83704 on 2026-09-20, exactly one carries the Mobile Installer flag. That is a ranking over a defined population — the fifteen installers that directory shows for that ZIP — and it is the safest count available for this metro. The other fourteen are storefronts, and going to one costs you the car for the duration.

The one mobile installer is Roadz Mobile Tire. Which brings us to the thing every Boise page about this subject gets wrong.

All three of them are Meridian businesses

Tire Rack files Roadz at /installers/id/meridian/83642/roadz-mobile-tire, and the page is titled "Mobile Tire Service & Installation in Meridian, ID". Our own listing sweep records the address as 2390 E Franklin Rd, which is Meridian. T&T Mobile Tires gives 625 W Elias St, Meridian 83642. Quick Tires gives 1861 W Franklin Rd, Meridian 83642.

Every mobile tire company in this metro with a working or formerly working website is a Meridian business. They serve Boise, and Roadz's own copy says so — "We serve the Treasure Valley and Vancouver, WA" — but "a Boise mobile tire company" is not an accurate description of any of them. Serving Boise from Meridian is.

The same care applies to any 83714 address, which is usually Garden City rather than Boise. Only 29.1 percent of that ZIP's addresses fall inside a registered Boise neighbourhood association.

What each of them publishes

Roadz Mobile Tire, Meridian. The only mobile installer in the Tire Rack Boise directory. Its own services page lists "Flat tire repair services; Tire rotation; Tire balancing; Stem valve services; Air pressure check; Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) installation" and puts a price on none of them. Its purchase tool does publish a full itemised total for fitting tires you buy from Roadz, and the cost page takes that apart line by line. For a puncture there is no figure anywhere on the site. Hours are "Monday - Friday : 9:00am - 5:00pm (After hours available)", and its locations page gives exactly two phone numbers, a Boise one and a Vancouver, Washington one.

T&T Mobile Tires, Meridian. Four pages read on 2026-09-20 — home, services, mobile tire sales and mobile flat tire repair — and not one dollar figure on any of them. The site is substantial and the service fit is unambiguous: "Our mobile tire shop operates throughout Meridian and surrounding areas", and on the repair page, "We utilize industry-standard tire patches and plugs to restore your tire's structural integrity". It claims "T&T Mobile Tires is honored to be the winner of Idaho's Best 2024!" and TIA certified technicians. Hours "Mon - Fri: 7:30AM - 5PM, SAT: Appointment Only".

Quick Tires, Meridian. Our provider file of 2026-09-17 records a working site with a Mobile Services page and a bounded coverage claim. On 2026-09-20 neither quick-tires.com nor www.quick-tires.com resolved in DNS at all; a request returns "Could not resolve host". The Google listing was still present in the same day's sweep. The business appears to exist and the website does not, so there is nothing current to quote from it and we are not going to quote anything it used to say.

66 Mobile Auto Repair, and this one really is a Boise address: 1116 S Vista Ave 252, Boise 83705. It is the only business in this metro that publishes a price for a flat. Its page reads, verbatim and including the full stop, "Mobile Flat Tire Assist Starts @ $185." The subtitle defines the scope as "Tire Repair | Install Spare | Replace Tire". So it is a starts-at figure for a bundle of three different jobs, one of which is fitting your spare, and it is not a plug-and-patch rate. Treat it as what it says it is.

Red White and Tread, a mobile mechanic working Boise and Meridian. Its booking page offers three services with durations and no prices: "Vehicle Service 1 hr 30 min", "Tire Change 1 hr", "Roadside Assistance 1 hr".

What the map sweep returned, and what we took out of it

Three queries — mobile tire replacement, mobile tire service and mobile tire installation — pinned on Boise returned twenty listings on 2026-09-20. Most of them are not this.

Four are truck and trailer operations rather than passenger-car tire work. One is a bicycle repair shop that the tire queries return. Three are storefronts rather than mobile. One is listed temporarily closed. Several are general mobile mechanics who also do tires. After that filter, the passenger-car mobile tire field serving Boise is Roadz, T&T, Quick Tires and a handful of general mobile mechanics. That is the market.

Two of the twenty carry Boise addresses with out-of-state phone numbers. Nobody has rung them, so we are not going to characterise them at all, in either direction.

Why this market suits the format

Not price. Time.
