Mobile tire service in Brainerd and Eastdale

The City of Chattanooga's own pothole feed placed 1,709 requests inside ZIP 37411 from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2023. Of the fourteen Chattanooga ZIP areas we profiled, only 37421, Hamilton Place and East Brainerd, had more. Of the eighteen ZIPs we ran the same count over, only 37421 and the Hixson ZIP 37343 had more.

This is Brainerd Road and the post-war subdivisions behind it: 18,997 people in 8,222 occupied units, 61.1% owner-occupied, with the median home in the 1950s build band. We supply the tires and fit them where the car is parked, here and across Chattanooga. One price up front, no separate call-out fee.

Reading the pothole count properly

A request count measures how ready people are to report as well as how many holes there are, and it is not adjusted for population or street mileage. Two more cautions. The feed stops on 6 October 2024, so there is no 2025 or 2026 figure, and we will not describe this year's potholes from it. And the city's line does not stop at every ZIP edge: the East Ridge ZIP produced 39 requests in the same nine years, but East Ridge is a separately incorporated city, so we would not read that low count as a verdict on East Ridge's streets.

Citywide the shape is clear. Across 17,430 requests over 2015 to 2023, March is the peak month at 2,229 and November the lowest at 812. January to March carry 5,728, 32.9% of the year in a quarter of it (derived: 5,728 ÷ 17,430). The network is almost all asphalt: 2,110.1 of the 2,188.9 miles in the city's pavement layer, 96.4%.

Our own count of freeze-thaw days at Lovell Field, where the low fell below 32F and the high rose above it, averaged 46.1 a year over 1996 to 2025, most of them in December, January and February, just ahead of the pothole peak. That is two measured series side by side. The city has not said one causes the other, and neither will we.

What a hole does, and what we will not patch

A rim strike can break the tire's structure without a visible puncture. The damage often shows only on the inner liner, which is why a repair here always starts with the tire off the wheel. A bulge in the sidewall, or a cut through to the cord, is a replacement. Across the Georgia line that is written into law: O.C.G.A. 40-8-74(e) requires tires to be "free from bumps, bulges, or separations". Tennessee's equipment chapter has no rule of that kind: we read every section of Chapter 9 of Title 55, and its two tire sections cover studs and new trailer tires, not tread depth or damage. We apply the standard anyway. A bulge in the sidewall and repair or replace explain why.

Flat ground and houses with room

74.3% of the housing units in 37411 are one-unit detached houses, against 57.6% across the city. The ground is valley floor; the USGS 1-metre elevation at the ZIP's published Census internal point is 683 feet, one point and not a slope. That detached share is a proxy for private parking, not a count, and we will not tell you what share of Brainerd has a driveway. What we need is level, paved ground with room at one corner of the car, and on a flat street of detached houses that is usually easy.

18.8% of households keep three or more vehicles and 33.3% keep two. If a car has to move for us to reach the one with the flat, move it before the slot.

A mobile search here fills up with the wrong businesses

Search for a mobile tire service in Chattanooga and one result is a mobile brake company listed on Brainerd Road. Its own site lists Chattanooga among its locations and its entire service list is brakes: pads, rotors, shoes, fluid, master cylinders, calipers. It does not do tires. We found no Chattanooga business that publishes a mobile tire price at all, so there is no local mobile figure for us to compare with, and we will not invent one. What we do not do

We supply the tires we fit. Fitting tires bought elsewhere was withdrawn on 2026-09-20. No alignment, no rotation on its own, no balancing on its own, no brakes, no emergency roadside. No work on Brainerd Road itself or any other live road.

Our price

A mobile puncture repair is $145 for the first tire and $50 for each extra tire on the same visit, subject to inspection on site. Wheel off, tire demounted and inspected from the inside, plug and patch to the industry method, remount, rebalance, TPMS reset where supported, refit. Not repairable, no repair charge. Fitting new tires we supply is $400 a visit for one to four tires, mounting, balancing and disposal included; the tires are priced on top. No separate call-out fee.
