Mobile tire repair in Chattanooga

We come to the address where the car is parked in Chattanooga, take the wheel off, inspect the tire from the inside, and repair it if the damage is repairable. You see the price before anyone is dispatched. No callback, no estimate visit, no figure held back until we have your phone number.

Two limits stated up front, because they decide whether we are any use to you. We supply the tires we fit, so we do not mount tires bought elsewhere. And this is a booked visit to a fixed address, not roadside rescue: a car stopped in a live lane on I-24 needs a tow first.

Why this page exists, and what we found when we looked for the competition

The interesting thing about mobile tire work in Chattanooga is how little of it there is, and the evidence is unusually clean because two national companies publish their own coverage.

Tire Rack's recommended-installer directory for ZIP 37421 loads perfectly and lists twelve installers. It prints an itemised rate card for every one of them. Its own legend carries a "Mobile Installer" badge. Not one of the twelve wears it. Every installer Tire Rack recommends in this market is a fixed shop you drive to.

Tire Rack's mobile-coverage endpoint agrees. Called on 2026-09-20, the ZIP lookup that names which mobile programme serves an area returns an empty string for 37402 downtown, 37405 North Chattanooga, 37412 East Ridge, 37421 Hamilton Place, and 30742 Fort Oglethorpe across the Georgia line. For comparison the same endpoint returns "DTMI" for Dallas 75206 and "TRMI" for Atlanta 30306. Two national van programmes exist. Neither reaches here.

Discount Tire publishes its complete mobile list, and Tennessee is not on it. Counted from its own page on 2026-09-20: 84 participating stores across exactly eight states, Arizona 19, Florida 4, Illinois 14, Minnesota 3, Missouri 2, North Carolina 1, South Carolina 2, Texas 39. Tennessee does not appear. Georgia does not appear. Discount Tire runs four fixed stores in this market, on Gunbarrel Road, two in Hixson and one in Fort Oglethorpe, and none of them does mobile work. Its page also says, verbatim: "We don't offer mobile tire repair at this time. However, as our mobile tire services grow and expand, we may offer mobile tire repair in the future."

So the two national on-site prices you will find advertised, Tire Rack's "On-site tire installation prices start at just $40 a tire" and Discount Tire's "On-site tire installation starts as low as $50 extra", are both real and both unavailable to anybody in Chattanooga.

The local mobile supply, named

There are mobile operators here. Here is every one we could resolve on 2026-09-20 and what each actually does.

• Chattanooga Premier Mobile Tire Store is the one business we found that plainly does mobile passenger-car tire work in this city. Its Yelp page is unclaimed, gives no street address at all beyond "Chattanooga, TN 37401", and publishes no website, no email and no price of any kind. Its own description reads: "Chattanooga Premier Mobile Tire Store Takes the hassle out of buying tires by bringing the Tire Store To Your Door. At Work, Home, or on the go, We come to you to change your Tires, Wheels or Oil."
• Best One Tire - Truck Tire Center of Chattanooga is mobile and commercial only. Its own page: "we specialize in commercial tires and on-site tire service. Save time and energy when you have our team come to you for your fleet tire service needs." No prices anywhere on the site.
• Giant Truck Tire Service and Trailer Repair is mobile, and lists its range as "tires for box trucks, semi-trucks, and dump trucks". Not a passenger-car service.
• Brakes To You lists Chattanooga on its own locations page and states "We Service a 30 Mile Radius Around Major Metros". Its entire published service list is brakes: pads, rotors, shoes, fluid flush, master cylinder, calipers. It does not fit tires.

That last one is worth pausing on, because it explains what a search for mobile tire help in this city actually returns: a brake franchise, a commercial truck-tire dealer, a truck repair shop and a couple of national dispatch brands. Several more listings carry a phone number, no website and nothing to read. We are not going to publish a count of "how many mobile tire services Chattanooga has", because our own sweeps disagree with each other and the lower one is known to have under-collected. What we will publish is what we checked and what each check returned, which is the list above.

Not one of them publishes a price

That is the part worth saying plainly. No business operating in Chattanooga publishes a mobile tire price. Not for a fitting, not for a puncture repair.

Two things that look like exceptions are not. A national dispatch brand publishes a page headed with Chattanooga's name and an eight-row price table; the identical eight rows, to the dollar, appear on that same brand's Pittsburgh page and its Savannah page, so the table is national boilerplate with a city name substituted into it, and its own framing calls it an average market rate rather than a rate card. A second national brand does publish a genuine mobile puncture price, but a full-text read of its site on 2026-09-20 returns zero occurrences of the word Chattanooga. Neither is a Chattanooga price and this site will not quote either as one.

Which is why our number is on this page rather than behind a form.

What actually counts as a repairable tire

The rules here are not ours. They are the US Tire Manufacturers Association's, and any shop worth using follows them.

• The damage has to be in the tread area, the part that touches the road. Nothing in the sidewall or the shoulder is repairable, by us or by anyone.
• The hole has to be no larger than a quarter of an inch.
• The tire has to come off the wheel so the inner liner can be inspected. A tire can look untouched from outside and be destroyed inside.
• The repair is a plug and a patch together. A plug pushed in from the outside without removing the tire is not a repair; it is a way of selling you the same tire twice.

This matters more than usual in a market with no published prices, because a five-minute outside plug and a proper demount-and-inspect repair look identical on an invoice and cost the business completely different amounts of time.

The space, which in this city is a real conversation

A mobile fitter needs somewhere to work. Tire Rack publishes its own bar and it is worth quoting, because it is the clearest statement anyone in this trade has put in writing: "We require a flat, paved surface with 6 feet of clearance around your vehicle along with enough space for our installation van. A minimum of 10 feet of vertical clearance is also required."

Now set that against the ground. The City of Chattanooga's open data hub publishes a Hamilton County slope inventory, and summed over every polygon in it, 122,418 acres sit at 15 percent grade or steeper. Hamilton County's land area is 542.164 square miles. That works out at 191.3 square miles, or 35.3 percent of the county (DERIVED: 122,418 acres divided by 640 to get square miles, then divided by 542.164).

We need level, paved, legal ground with room to work at one corner of the car. A driveway in Brainerd or East Brainerd usually qualifies. A street parking space on a genuine slope usually does not, and it is better to establish that before a van leaves than after it arrives. Tell us what the space looks like when you book. What we do not do

No alignment, no rotation on its own, no balancing on its own, no brakes, no emergency roadside call-out, no off-season tire storage. We do not fit customer-supplied tires and we do not sell used tires. If the answer is a new tire rather than a repair, we say so at the inspection and we can fit it in the same visit.

Our price: $145 for the first tire

A mobile puncture repair on one tire is $145, and $50 for each additional tire in the same visit. That is the price, not an estimate and not a starting figure. It covers getting to the car, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on. No separate call-out line, before or after.

If the damage turns out not to be repairable, we tell you on the spot. The inspection is charged, because establishing whether a tire can be saved means travelling to the car, taking the wheel off and the tire off the rim. The repair is not charged, because it was not done.

• Is there really no mobile option here from the national chains? Not from those two. Tire Rack's coverage endpoint returned an empty string for 37402, 37405, 37412, 37421 and Fort Oglethorpe 30742 on 2026-09-20, and Discount Tire's own published mobile list runs to 84 stores in eight states with none in Tennessee or Georgia.
• How many of Tire Rack's twelve Chattanooga installers are mobile? None. All twelve in the 37421 directory are fixed shops, read 2026-09-20.
