Mobile tire service in Northwest Boise and Pierce Park

A Boise mailing address is not the same thing as being in Boise, and nowhere in this metro is that truer than here. We ran every address point in ZIP 83714 against the City of Boise's own registry of neighbourhood associations. Only 4,837 of 16,644 addresses — 29.1% — fall inside one. For every other ZIP in our Boise research the figure is between 89% and 100%.

The rest of this ZIP is Garden City, which is a separately incorporated city, plus unincorporated Ada County. We serve all of it. We just think you should know which one your kerb is in before you start comparing local prices, because several other people quoting you numbers will not.

We supply the tires and fit them where the car is parked, here and across the Boise metro. No separate call-out fee, no estimate visit.

What is actually inside the city line

The 4,837 addresses that do sit inside registered Boise associations break down as Northwest 3,144, Pierce Park 1,487, Collister 163, Highlands 39 and Central Foothills 4. Those are the neighbourhood names the city itself registers — there are 35 of them across Boise — and they are the only ones we use, because a name somebody invented for a listing is not a place.

One consequence lands immediately. We publish a measured hillside figure for every Boise ZIP, and for this one it comes out at 1.1%, 179 of 16,644 addresses. That number is unreliable here and we would rather say so than let you use it. The city's Hillside overlay only covers the Boise Area of Impact, and most of 83714 sits outside the city's planning reach altogether, so the ground north of here toward Hidden Springs is simply not measured by it. Along the Boise River this ZIP is flat and it rises at the Glenwood Rim. That is a description, not a measurement, and we are labelling it as one.

The thing that does not change at the city line is the road. The Ada County Highway District owns and maintains every street in Ada County — 5,000-plus lane miles by its own count — and that includes the streets inside Garden City and the unincorporated county. Whatever boundary your address sits on, the same agency patches it, and West Boise sets out what that means for the road data nobody has.

Where a price is, and where a business is

Two of the fifteen installers on Tire Rack's Boise directory carry 83714 addresses, and Tire Rack labels them differently. Discount Tire at 6939 West State Street is filed as Garden City, at $116.00 for the four-tire installation Tire Rack prices. The Tire Choice #1689 at 6730 North Glenwood Street is filed as Boise, at $118.74 for the same job. Same ZIP, two city labels, $2.74 apart (derived: $118.74 minus $116.00).

The same care applies to the mobile operators. Roadz Mobile Tire, the only installer flagged mobile among the fifteen in that directory, is filed by Tire Rack under Meridian 83642, and its listed address is on East Franklin Road in Meridian. T&T Mobile Tires, the other dedicated mobile tire company in this valley with a working website, gives a Meridian address as well. Both serve Boise, and "serving Boise from Meridian" is accurate. Calling either a Boise company is not.

None of those customer-supplied fitting prices is a job we do, so read them as market context rather than as a quote you could set against ours.

Mobile homes, and why we ask instead of assuming

9.4% of housing units in this ZIP are mobile homes or other non-standard structures — by a wide margin the highest share of the ten Boise-area ZIP codes in our research, against 3.1% for the city of Boise, 2.8% for Ada County and 4.7% for the metro. The next highest is 83704 at 6.1%.

We flag that because a park pitch and an access lane are a genuinely different working environment from a suburban apron, not because we know anything about the parks here. No park inventory, pitch count or access description was sourced for this page and we are not going to describe one from imagination. What we need is the same everywhere — level, paved, legal ground with room to work at one corner of the car and room for a van to stand — and on a tight lane that is a real question. The rest of the housing is ordinary and fairly new: 69.4% one-unit detached, our labelled proxy for off-street space, 72.6% owner-occupied across 11,725 occupied units and 27,564 residents, a median unit in the 1990s band and only 17.8% built before 1980.

The longest drive in Boise

The mean commute here is 24.5 minutes, the longest of the ten Boise-area ZIP codes (derived from ACS table B08013 aggregate travel time over workers who did not work at home), against 18.9 minutes for the city as a whole. 67.9% drive alone, 7.2% carpool, 2.1% walk or cycle, 0.5% take public transport and 20.3% work at home. Vehicles per household: 3.8% none, 36.5% one, 39.5% two and 20.2% three or more.

A longer commute means more of the week spent away from the address, and it means a tire problem is more likely to be found in a work car park than on the drive. Either works for us; a flat tire at work covers what we need at the second kind of address.

What we do not do

We supply the tires we fit, so a set bought elsewhere is out; customer-supplied fitting was withdrawn on 2026-09-20. No alignment, no rotation on its own, no balancing on its own, no brakes, no emergency roadside. We do not store tires. Mobile puncture repair is in scope, subject to inspecting the tire from the inside once it is off the rim.

Our price: $145, and $50 for each extra tire

A mobile puncture repair is $145 for the first tire and $50 for each additional tire in the same visit. Fixed, not a starting figure. It covers getting to you, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on. There is no separate call-out fee. If the damage is not repairable we say so on the spot: the inspection is charged and the repair is not.

Seasonal changeover is $350 for a set already on its own wheels and $390 for loose tires that have to go onto the same wheels and be balanced.

• My address says Boise but I think I am in Garden City. Does it matter to you? Not for whether we come. It matters for which city's figures apply when somebody quotes you a local price or a local rule.
• Who fixes the road here, Garden City or Boise? Neither. ACHD does, for the whole county.
