Tire repair open now in Los Angeles

If the tire is down right now, two questions decide your afternoon: who can actually come, and whether the spot the car is standing in will still be legal when they arrive. In this city the second one catches people out more often than the first.

We book same-day visits to a car parked at a fixed address. You see the price on screen before you give us a phone number, there is no call-out fee on top, and we check the posted street-sweeping schedule for your block before we confirm the slot.

What the published hours actually say

These are read from the providers' own listings on 2026-09-20, and they are narrower than the category's reputation.

• Tire Rack Mobile Installation — 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday, Pacific Time. Its base ZIP is Santa Fe Springs, in Los Angeles County rather than the City of Los Angeles, though it quoted at 0.00 miles in all five Los Angeles ZIP lists we read. It does not offer tire repair at all.
• ZIPTIRE Mobile — 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday. Based in Glassell Park, inside the city. It lists "TIRE REPAIR" among its other services and publishes no price for it.
• The Mobile Tire Shop — we are not repeating its hours. Its listing states "All Times in Eastern Time" for a business based in Granada Hills, which is almost certainly a data-entry error in the directory rather than a fact about the business, and we would rather leave a gap than print something we know is wrong. It also appears only in the San Fernando Valley ZIP lists we read.

So the mobile installers that publish a rate card in this city are, on their own listings, business-hours operations that close on Sunday.

The 24-hour listings, and what we know about them

Our own Google Maps sweep of Los Angeles on 2026-09-16 recorded six mobile tire listings. Four of the six carry "Open 24 hours" on the listing: Jump 24 hour mobile tire repair shop on North Madison Avenue, 24-7 Mobile Tire Repair Service West Hollywood on Santa Monica Boulevard, 24 Hour Mobile Tire Shop on Ventura Boulevard, and a second 24 Hour Mobile Tire Shop. Every one of the six was recorded with no website.

Two caveats, and they are real. "Open 24 hours" on a Maps listing is what the business has told Maps, not something we verified by calling at 3 a.m. And that sweep undercounts this market badly — while researching these pages we found operators it missed entirely, including one publishing the cheapest mobile rate card we read here. Six is a floor, not a census, and nobody should treat it as a count of what is open in Los Angeles tonight.

One of the four publishes prices on its own site. 24-7 Mobile Tire Repair Service West Hollywood lists "TIRE REPAIR STARTING AT $120" and "ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE STARTING AT $120", with the qualification "PLEASE NOTE THE PRICING DEPENDS ON AVAILABILTY AND YOUR LOCATION" (their spelling). Those are starting prices from a business headquartered in West Hollywood, which is a separate incorporated city inside the county. What tire repair costs in Los Angeles has the full picture.

The counter option, if the car can get there

America's Tire — Discount Tire's California trading name — states on its own page that "we offer free flat tire repairs at every single one of our 1,200-plus stores". That is at the counter during store hours, not at your kerb: the same page publishes its full mobile-installation store list, 84 stores across eight states on 2026-09-20, with no California store on it.

If the tire is holding enough air to drive on and there is a store near you that is open, that is a good option and we will say so. If it is not, or if you cannot lose the car for the afternoon, that is what we are for. Mobile fitting against driving to a shop sets out the trade.

What usually limits a same-day slot here is the kerb

This is the Los Angeles part of a same-day booking, and it is the part most mobile services leave out.

The City of Los Angeles issued 2,036,629 parking citations in calendar 2025. The largest single category was "NO PARK/STREET CLEAN" at 524,709 citations — 25.8 percent of everything written that year (DERIVED: 524,709 divided by 2,036,629). For scale, the next largest were red zone at 252,940, expired meter at 244,440, preferential parking at 131,535 and display of plates at 129,255.

Sweeping runs on a posted weekly or fortnightly schedule, street by street. A van standing beside your car for the length of a repair is inside the same posted window your car is. So the slot that works on your block on a Tuesday afternoon may be unusable on a Wednesday morning, and that is a scheduling fact rather than a capacity one. What we need to be able to work

Level, paved, legal ground with room to work at one corner of the car. Driveways, workplace lots and many kerbside spots qualify. Tell us which you have, and tell us about the sweeping sign, the permit zone or the garage-height bar if there is one. If we arrive and the space is not safe to work in, that visit is not charged.

What we will not pretend to be

We are not a roadside service. We book a visit to a car standing at a fixed address. A car stopped in a lane on the 405 needs a tow first, and no van should be telling you otherwise at speed. Mobile replacement against using the spare covers what to do in the meantime, and a flat with no spare covers the case where there is nothing in the boot.

And nothing on a Los Angeles calendar forces this. California does not inspect tires at registration; the only recurring test in Los Angeles County is the biennial smog check, which measures emissions. There is no date at which somebody else tells you a tire is finished, which is why so many of these calls happen at the moment the tire fails rather than the week before.

Our price: $145

A mobile puncture repair is $145 for the first tire and $50 for each additional tire in the same visit, with no separate call-out fee. Wheel off, tire demounted and inspected from the inside, plug and patch fitted the way the US Tire Manufacturers Association requires, remount, rebalance, TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, pressures set to the door placard and written on the invoice.

Repair is subject to on-site inspection. If the tire cannot be repaired safely we say so on the spot: you pay for the inspection and not for a repair that was not done, and you decide whether to replace. Where a same-day fee applies, we keep it if a technician actually attends and inspects that day, and refund it if no same-day visit takes place.

• Are mobile tire services in Los Angeles really open 24 hours? Four of the six listings in our 2026-09-16 Maps sweep say so on their Maps profile. The two Los Angeles mobile installers that publish a rate card both list business hours, Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday. We have not verified any overnight claim by calling.
• Is this roadside assistance? No. We book a visit to a car parked at a fixed address. A car stopped in traffic needs a tow first.
• What if my tire cannot be repaired? You pay for the inspection and not for the repair. We can supply and fit a replacement on the same visit.
• Do you charge a call-out fee? No. The visit is inside the price shown online. If we arrive and the space is not safe to work in, that visit is not charged.
• Can I get it done free somewhere instead? America's Tire's own page says it offers free flat tire repairs at every one of its 1,200-plus stores, at the counter during store hours. Its mobile programme has no California store on its published list, so that offer means driving there.
