ZIP 75205 is not the City of Dallas. It covers the Town of Highland Park and part of the City of University Park, two separately incorporated municipalities enclosed by Dallas, and that single fact changes what any city dataset can tell you about the streets here.

26,572 people live in 9,655 occupied units, 55.2% owner-occupied, 45.5% of them one-unit detached and 27.6% in buildings of twenty or more, with a median unit in the 1990s build band. 18.9% of households keep three vehicles or more and 43.1% keep two; 2.9% keep none. 61.0% drive alone, 0.4% take public transport, 8.6% walk or cycle against 2.3% across Dallas, and the mean commute is 17.8 minutes — the shortest of the seventeen Dallas ZIPs we profiled, tied with 75202, against a citywide 25.7 (derived from ACS table B08013, aggregate travel time over workers who did not work at home).

We supply the tires and fit them at the address here, and across Dallas. No call-out fee, no estimate visit.

Two municipalities, and a 311 count that is not comparable

Between 2021 and 2025 the City of Dallas 311 archive recorded 225 "Pot Hole" requests with a 75205 address — rank 44 of the 68 ZIP strings present in that field. Next door in 75206, Lower Greenville, the same archive recorded 1,680.

We are not going to explain that gap, because we did not verify the explanation. What we can say is what the numbers are, and that 75205 is not City of Dallas territory, so a count drawn from the City of Dallas reporting channel is not a like-for-like measure of what your street is doing. We did not read either town's own public works arrangements, so we will not tell you how they differ. If you want to know the state of your block, look at your block.

Commercially, this distinction is normal in DFW. Zohr's published coverage list for Dallas-Fort Worth names 97 municipalities and lists Highland Park and University Park separately from Dallas (read 2026-09-20). Everyone serving this metro crosses town lines all day.

Short trips, many cars, and a short commute

A 17.8-minute mean commute across households that mostly run two or three vehicles is a short-trip pattern. Short trips are the ones that never fully warm a tire, that never prompt anyone to walk round the car, and that make tread depth a poor guide to what the tires have actually been through.

That is worth knowing because nothing in Texas prompts you either. Since 1 January 2025 there has been no safety inspection for a non-commercial vehicle in this state — the requirement was abolished statewide, not by county — and there is no tread depth figure anywhere in Chapter 547 of the Transportation Code. Its only tire section, 547.612, deals with regrooved tires, metal tires, studs and chains. There is no annual moment when somebody looks.

So the date code on the sidewall is the schedule, and there is no one else on it: the DOT date code in Texas, and when to replace tires.

Where we work here

45.5% of units in 75205 are one-unit detached and 27.6% are in buildings of twenty or more, so a booking here is either a house with a drive or a building with a garage. We use the detached share as a proxy and nothing more — the Census records no garage or off-street-parking variable and no town here publishes a garage count, so we ask.

The requirement is the same either way: level, paved, legal ground with room to work at one corner of the car. A drive or a motor court is ideal. A rear garage with no working room beside the car is not, and a kerb space on the block usually solves it.

What we do not do

We supply the tires we fit, so a set bought elsewhere is out. No alignment, no rotation on its own, no balancing on its own, no brakes, no emergency roadside. Mobile puncture repair is in scope, subject to inspecting the tire from the inside once it is off the rim.

Our price: $145

A mobile puncture repair on one tire is $145. That is the price, not an estimate and not a starting figure. It covers getting to you, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on. If the damage is not repairable, we tell you on the spot and you are not charged for the repair.

Questions people ask

  • Do you actually serve Highland Park, or only Dallas addresses? We serve it. Where the town line falls makes no difference to what we need at your address.
  • Three cars, one morning? Book them together at one address. There is no visit fee to multiply.
  • A car that only does school runs and the club — do the tires still age? Yes. Age and pressure damage tires independently of mileage, and nobody inspects them here.
  • What pressure should the car be at? The placard on the driver's door frame, read cold: the tire pressure placard.
  • East of Central Expressway? That is Lower Greenville.
  • South towards the arts district? Uptown and Downtown Dallas.
