No account needed.

81.0% of working residents here drive alone, the highest of the fourteen Chattanooga-area ZCTAs our city research profiled, and 82.5% of the housing is one-unit detached, also the highest of those fourteen. The American Community Survey records zero transit commuters in ZCTA 37419, plus or minus 20 — an estimate that is statistically indistinguishable from nobody at all.

This is a place with no alternative to the car and, unusually for Chattanooga, a place where there is almost always somewhere to work on it.

We supply the tires and fit them where the car is parked, here and across the Chattanooga metro. No separate call-out fee, no estimate visit.

Where there is usually already somewhere to work

That is a judgement drawn from measured housing, not from a measured ranking of driveways — nobody publishes one of those. Here is what it rests on.

82.5% of units in 37419 are one-unit detached, against 57.6% across the City of Chattanooga. Only 2.3% sit in buildings of twenty or more and 4.6% in buildings of five to nineteen. 76.5% of occupied units are owner-occupied. Spread across 49.00 square miles of land (2024 Census Gazetteer) for 5,980 residents in 2,797 occupied units, that is a low-density pattern of houses with their own ground.

We use the detached share strictly as a proxy for off-street space and label it as one, because the American Community Survey carries no garage or driveway variable and Chattanooga publishes no garage count. But it is the strongest such signal of the fourteen ZCTAs profiled, and in practice it means the van has room.

Here is the bar in somebody else's published words, so it is not just us saying it. Tire Rack's mobile installation requirements, read 2026-09-20: "We require a flat, paved surface with 6 feet of clearance around your vehicle along with enough space for our installation van. A minimum of 10 feet of vertical clearance is also required." A detached house on Browns Ferry Road with a drive clears that without anyone having to think about it.

One caveat that belongs specifically to this ZIP: 5.2% of its units are mobile homes. A mobile home lot is not automatically a paved surface, and "flat, paved" is the actual requirement, ours as much as Tire Rack's. If the car sits on gravel or on a grass pad, tell us at booking and we will find the nearest paved spot rather than turn up and cancel.

Wrapped round the mountain, but not on it

37419 runs west of Lookout Mountain along Cummings Highway and Browns Ferry Road and wraps round to Raccoon Mountain. Its published Census internal point sits at 1,018 feet (USGS 3DEP one-metre query, read 2026-09-20) — one published point, not the neighbourhood's typical elevation.

For context from the same service on the same day: Market Street at 8th, downtown, reads 676.5 feet, and Point Park on Lookout Mountain reads 2,037.0. These are point queries at coordinates we chose. They are not summit heights and no pair of them is a gradient, so we publish no percent grade for this or any Chattanooga neighbourhood — the county's published slope polygons cannot be cut to a neighbourhood without overcounting, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

The valley floor along Cummings Highway is flat. The roads that leave it are not. Which of those your address is on is a question we ask at booking rather than guess.

Three cars, forty-nine square miles, no bus

3.1% of households keep no vehicle, 30.6% one, 46.7% two and 19.6% three or more. 81.0% drive alone, 4.4% carpool, 0.4% walk or cycle, 14.2% work at home. Mean commute 18.8 minutes (derived: ACS table B08013 aggregate travel time over the workers in table B08301 less those who worked at home, on a base of 2,589). Median unit in the 1980s build band.

Half the households here run two cars and a fifth run three or more. That is the case where a single visit does more than one job, and where the second tire in a repair costs $50 rather than another call-out.

Inside this ZCTA the City of Chattanooga's pothole feed recorded 525 service requests over the nine years 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2023, counted by spatial query against the city's own layer. The feed's last row is 6 October 2024, so there is no 2025 or 2026 figure in it and nothing here describes this year's roads.

The Georgia line is close, and it changes the surface question

Lookout Valley sits near the Georgia state line, and if we come to an address across it the assumptions change. Dade County, Georgia records 17.6% of its housing as mobile homes and Walker County 13.8%, on ACS 2020–2024 estimates; Dade's is the highest share of any geography our city research pulled. Those are Georgia county figures, not Lookout Valley figures, and we keep them separate deliberately.

What they mean practically is the same thing the 5.2% above means: the surface has to be checked, not assumed. The law changes at that line too, and East Lake and the Georgia line sets out how.

No national van comes here either

Discount Tire publishes the full list of stores running its mobile installation. Counted on 2026-09-20 it is 84 stores across exactly 8 states — Arizona 19, Florida 4, Illinois 14, Minnesota 3, Missouri 2, North Carolina 1, South Carolina 2, Texas 39. Tennessee is not on it and neither is Georgia. The page also states, verbatim: "We don't offer mobile tire repair at this time."

What we do not do

We supply the tires we fit, so a set bought elsewhere is out. No alignment, no rotation on its own, no balancing on its own, no brakes, no emergency roadside. Mobile puncture repair is in scope, subject to inspecting the tire from the inside once it is off the rim.

Our price: $145, and $50 for each extra tire

A mobile puncture repair is $145 for the first tire and $50 for each additional tire in the same visit. That is the price, not an estimate and not a starting figure. It covers getting to you, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on. There is no separate call-out fee. If the damage turns out not to be repairable, we tell you on the spot: the inspection is charged and the repair is not.

No business operating in Chattanooga publishes a mobile tire price of any kind, so there is nothing local to compare it with and we will not invent a comparison. What mobile replacement costs sets out how ours is built, and tire service on a steep driveway covers the roads that leave the valley floor.
