Guide

Will a mobile tire service install tires you bought online?

What to check before you order tires online for us to install at your vehicle: size, ratings, age, shipping timing, and the seller's own policies.

Your price online in minutes. No callback, no estimate visit.

Start with the tire

What do you need?

How many tires?

On the sidewall, or the sticker in the driver door jamb. Copy it exactly.

No account, no callback. The next screen asks about your car, then shows the price.

Yes: we install tires you bought yourself, at your vehicle, subject to a pre-install inspection when the technician arrives. If you plan to order tires online and have us install them, a few checks before you buy will save you a wasted delivery or a rejected tire at the visit.

Confirm the exact size and ratings, not just the diameter

Use your door jamb placard or your tire's own sidewall to get the full size string, including the load index and speed rating, not just the wheel diameter. See Find your tire size for how to read it. A tire that matches the diameter but carries a lower load index or speed rating than your vehicle calls for is not a safe substitute, and our technician will flag it during the pre-install inspection described on the installing your own tires page.

Check the tire's age, not just that it is new

Tires sold as new can still have sat in a warehouse for a while. The DOT code on the sidewall ends in four digits: the first two are the week of manufacture, the last two the year. A tire manufactured recently is preferable; a very old "new" tire has already lost some of its shelf life before it ever touches the road. Reputable online sellers will tell you the manufacture date if you ask before ordering.

Match your vehicle's TPMS setup

If your vehicle has tire pressure monitoring, decide whether you are keeping your current sensors (common, since they usually transfer between tires) or need new ones. Tell us during booking either way so the technician brings what is needed.

Time the delivery around your appointment

Order with enough buffer that the tires arrive before your scheduled visit, and confirm delivery to an address where someone can receive them, since a mobile visit cannot proceed without the tires already on site. If the tires have not arrived, we will need to reschedule.

Understand what a purchase problem means for your visit

If the tires arrive wrong, damaged in shipping, or not what you ordered, that is a matter between you and the seller, not something we resolve. Our technician will inspect what arrived before mounting anything (see what changes when you supply the tires), and will not install a tire that fails that inspection, but getting a replacement or refund from the seller is on you.

Avoid used or "take-off" tires unless you can verify their history

Tires listed as used, take-offs, or scratch-and-dent can be a reasonable budget option, but you cannot verify how they were stored, driven, or whether they were ever run flat. Our technician's inspection catches visible problems, not hidden internal damage from a tire's unknown past.

What we do not do

We do not source, recommend, or sell specific tire brands or retailers for this scope, and we do not warrant the tire itself; see installing your own tires for what our part of the job does and does not cover.

Questions people ask {#faq}

  • Can I have the tires shipped straight to you instead of my address? No, we do not accept deliveries on your behalf; they need to be at the service location before the visit.
  • What if I am not sure about load index or speed rating? Compare the numbers on your door placard or old tire's sidewall against the listing before you buy; when in doubt, match your original size exactly.
  • Do you install tires bought from any online retailer? Generally yes, subject to our pre-install inspection; we do not maintain an approved-seller list.
  • What if my tires fail your inspection on arrival day? We will tell you what we found and will not mount an unsafe tire; you will need to resolve it with the seller.

Why book this way

  • Your price online in minutes. No callback, no estimate visit, no waiting for someone to get back to you. Typically the quickest way to book this service.
  • One all-in price before any contact. Of the national mobile tire services we read, only Tire Rack publishes an installation price; the others quote after you contact them or reach checkout (read 2026-09-16 and 2026-09-17).
  • One point of contact from your request to the finished job. We work with a local partner and answer for the result.
  • You pay only after the price and your booking are confirmed.
