Mobile tire service in Williamsburg

Twenty active NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection "Garage & Parking Lot" licences carry an 11211 address. That is rank 28 of the 156 ZIP strings that hold at least one, out of 1,761 licences citywide, against 14 in Park Slope's 11215. It counts licensed businesses, not bays, and it is not a count of where residents park. What it does tell you is that a paid indoor space can be bought here.

That matters because most households here have no car at all. 67.4% of the 28,139 occupied units in ZIP 11211 keep no vehicle, 29.8% keep one and 2.4% keep two. We supply the tires and fit them where the car is parked, from the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to the East River, and across New York. One price up front, no separate call-out fee.

Towers by the water, walk-ups behind them

The housing is split. 43.6% of units are in buildings of twenty or more (derived: 28.3% in 20-49 plus 15.3% in 50 or more), much of it the newer waterfront stock. Behind it sits the older low-rise grid: 20.1% of units in five-to-nine-unit buildings, 14.9% in three-to-four and 7.7% in two-unit buildings, and 45.0% of all units built in 1939 or earlier. One-unit detached houses are 1.1%, against 9.1% citywide. That is a proxy for private off-street space, not a count; no one in this city measures driveways.

So there are two kinds of job here. In a building garage the question is whether the garage lets a fitter work inside, and that is the garage's decision. Ask them first and tell us the answer. At the kerb on a street off Metropolitan Avenue, Bedford Avenue or Grand Street, the question is whether there is level, legal space at one corner of the car. NYC DOT publishes 42 distinct alternate side parking suspension dates for 2026, and our view, not a measured claim, is that those are the easiest days to book a kerbside slot. A lot of cars that do not go far

27.1% of working residents work at home, 13.2% walk, 3.1% cycle and 45.7% take public transport. Only 6.9% drive alone. The mean commute is 31.7 minutes (derived from the Census aggregate travel-time table), against 40.3 citywide.

A car that sits in a garage all week wears very little tread. What it does is lose pressure slowly and age. A slow leak that nobody checks for a month becomes a flat on the one morning the car is needed, usually from the valve, the bead or a nail picked up weeks ago. The street itself is busier than the car count suggests. 11211 filed 1,722 Street Condition / Pothole requests to 311 over 2021 to 2025, rank 29 of the 224 non-null incident ZIPs, and 425 from 1 January to 19 September 2026, rank 51 of 205. What New York adds to any tire bill

Three state rules sit on every tire invoice in this city, ours included, and all three are published.

New York City's sales tax is 8.875%, and the Tax Department's auto repair bulletin says a shop "must collect sales tax on the total charge for parts and labor". The fitting labour is taxed here, not only the tire; Texas, for one, does not tax that labour.

New tires carry a $2.50 per-tire waste tire management and recycling fee, which the Department says "must be separately stated on the customer's invoice". A tire service "that maintains any physical retail location in New York State" may keep 25 cents of each $2.50 to cover its costs. A mobile operator with no shopfront keeps nothing and remits the full fee. On four tires that is $1.00 a shop keeps and a van does not (derived: 4 × $0.25). It is small, and it is one of the few structural differences between the two ways of doing this job that you can check for yourself.

If it is registered here, it is inspected

Every vehicle registered in New York State is inspected once a year. 15 NYCRR 79.21(c) rejects a tire worn "to less than 2/32 of an inch of major tread design at the two worst adjacent points", or with "any portion of the ply or cord structure exposed". What we do not do

We supply the tires we fit. Fitting tires bought elsewhere was withdrawn on 2026-09-20. No alignment, no rotation on its own, no balancing on its own, no brakes, no emergency roadside. We will not work in a bike lane, a bus stop or a traffic lane.

Our price

A mobile puncture repair is $145 for the first tire and $50 for each extra tire on the same visit, subject to inspection on site. Wheel off, tire demounted and inspected from the inside, plug and patch to the industry method, remount, rebalance, TPMS reset where supported, refit. Not repairable, no repair charge. Fitting new tires we supply is $400 a visit for one to four tires, mounting, balancing and disposal included; the tires are priced on top. No separate call-out fee.
