Mobile tire service in North Buckhead and Chastain Park

53.6% of households in ZIP 30342 keep two or more vehicles. That is rank two of the twenty-one Atlanta-area ZIP areas we pulled. Only 3.2% keep none, rank twenty of the twenty-one Atlanta-area ZIP areas we pulled. 43.2% keep one car, 40.6% keep two and 13.0% keep three or more.

On cars alone it looks like its neighbour, West Paces Ferry, ZIP 30327, which has the highest two-or-more share and the lowest no-car share of the twenty-one Atlanta-area ZIP areas we pulled. On housing it does not. In 30327, 61.2% of homes are one-unit detached houses and 78.1% are owner occupied. In 30342 the detached share is 35.8%, rank thirteen of the twenty-one Atlanta-area ZIP areas we pulled and level with the City of Atlanta's 35.6%, and 48.1% of homes are rented.

So North Buckhead is a two-car ZIP with a city-average mix of housing. Not all of those two-car households can be in detached houses. Some are in apartments, condos and townhouses, and that changes where the second car is parked. It is why this page exists.

33,349 people live here in 15,199 occupied homes, around Chastain Park, East Chastain Park and the Roswell Road NE corridor. We supply the tires and fit them where the car is parked, here and across Atlanta.

Where the second car is

35.8% of homes here are one-unit detached and 11.1% are one-unit attached, the townhouse stock. 3.1% are in two-to-four-unit buildings, 16.2% in buildings of five to nineteen and 33.4% in buildings of twenty or more, rank ten of the twenty-one Atlanta-area ZIP areas we pulled. Add the last two together and about half of all homes here are in buildings of five units or more (derived: 16.2 plus 33.4 is 49.6%). The median home falls in the 1990s build band.

The ACS has no garage or off-street-parking variable and Atlanta publishes no garage count, so the detached share is a proxy for off-street space and nothing more. We will not give you a driveway percentage for this ZIP.

In practice we meet four kinds of parking here. A house drive, which is easy if it is paved and not steep. A townhouse garage, often exactly one car wide, where the apron outside is usually the better place to work. A surface lot, which is fine if the space is level and we are not blocking a lane. And a deck, which works on a single level with headroom and room at one corner of the car, and does not work on a stacked or tandem space. Tell us which at booking, and which space the car is in. Two cars, one of them quiet

60.9% of working residents drive alone, 3.7% carpool, 1.3% take public transport and 30.7% work at home. Those who commute average 23.8 minutes (derived: ACS table B08013 aggregate travel time 337,280 minutes over 14,201 workers who did not work at home).

A household with two cars and someone working at home usually has a car that sits. A parked car does not wear out its tread. Its tires lose pressure slowly and age on the calendar, and nobody sees it happen.

Georgia will not see it either. O.C.G.A. 40-8-74(e)(1) sets a minimum of 2/32 inch "measurable in all major grooves", and (e)(3) requires tires to be "free from bumps, bulges, or separations". But the only inspection an Atlanta car meets on a schedule is the annual emissions test for 2002 to 2023 model years, and Georgia's Clean Air Force describes it as an OBD scan and "A visual inspection of the catalytic converter". If both cars need tires

Georgia charges a state fee of $1.00 on every new replacement tire sold. Since 1 July 2023 the distributor collects it, not the shop, and under O.C.G.A. 12-8-40.1(h)(3) the fee "shall cease to be collected on June 30, 2032". A set of four carries $4.00 of it. We include it in the price we show.

What we do not do

We supply the tires we fit. Tires bought elsewhere are out, withdrawn 2026-09-20. No alignment, no rotation on its own, no balancing on its own, no brakes, no emergency roadside. A seasonal changeover we do offer, at $350 for a set on its own wheels and $390 for loose tires. Off-season storage will be resold through a local partner at $150 a set per six-month season, but no Atlanta partner has yet cleared our checks on the building, the rate, the insurance and a seven-day retrieval promise, so it is not on sale here yet.

Our price: $145

A mobile puncture repair is $145 for the first tire and $50 for each additional tire in the same visit, with no separate call-out fee. Wheel off, tire demounted and inspected from the inside, plug and patch fitted to the industry method, remount, rebalance, TPMS reset where the car supports it, wheel back on. Repair is subject to inspection on site, and if it cannot be repaired safely we say so and you are not charged for the repair.

When a tire has to be replaced, installation is $400 for one visit covering one to four tires, with mounting, balancing and disposal included and the tires priced on the same screen.
