What tire repair costs in Atlanta

Tire Rack's Atlanta vans charge $110 for one tire and $220 for four: the minimum only bites on a single tire. And they price no repair at all. The published Atlanta numbers, dated.

Atlanta is one of the rare metros where you can see real prices without talking to anybody. The Tire Rack recommended-installer directory for ZIP 30306 publishes an itemised rate card for all twenty installers it lists, three of them mobile, and it needs nothing but a ZIP code. Two Atlanta businesses go further and publish a mobile repair figure on their own sites, which is unusual anywhere.

So this page shows you the local numbers rather than asking you to trust ours, including the one where a competitor's published starting price is below our fixed price.

The single most useful number in Atlanta: $110 for one tire

Atlanta is one of only two of the ten metros we serve where Tire Rack runs its own mobile vans instead of routing you to somebody else's. Its Atlanta rate card, read live on 2026-09-20, is unusually complete:

Line, verbatim from the card Published price
Minimum Charge (per visit) $110.00
Mounting & Balancing (per tire), 0-35 Series $55.00
Mounting & Balancing (per tire), 40-45 Series $55.00
Mounting & Balancing (per tire), 50-55 Series $55.00
Mounting & Balancing (per tire), 60+ Series $55.00
Rubber Valve Stems, Disposal Fee, Run-Flat Tire Services, TPMS Rebuild Kit Free
Package Installation (per tire) $27.50

Now do the two jobs. Four tires at $55.00 is exactly $220.00, and the directory's own four-tire total for the frozen job is "$ 220.00". The $110.00 minimum does not bind. One tire is different. A single tire at the published $55.00 sits below the published $110.00 minimum, so a one-tire visit costs $110.00 — precisely twice the per-tire rate, derived from those two published lines and nothing else.

That is the number to carry around. Mobile fitting is priced for a set. If you need one tire done, the cheapest of the three mobile fitting cards published for Atlanta on that directory charges you as though you needed two.

What the same brand advertises, on the same day

Tire Rack's own Atlanta mobile page, read 2026-09-20, says "Now in Atlanta!" and, under the heading AFFORDABLE: "Mobile installation may feel like a luxury, but our prices won't break the bank. On-site tire installation prices start at just $40 a tire."

The Atlanta rate card charges $55.00 a tire in every sidewall band there is. That is $15.00 above the advertised starting price, or 1.375 times it, derived from those two published figures. No band on the Atlanta card is $40.

We are quoting their published claim against their published card, both read the same day. We are not saying anything about why the two differ.

And none of the three mobile cards prices a repair

Between them, Tire Rack Mobile Installation, Tirewire LLC and 3030 Roadside Mobile Tire Shop publish dozens of priced lines for Atlanta on that directory: mounting and balancing by sidewall band or by wheel diameter, valve stems, TPMS rebuild kits, disposal, run-flat service, package installation, shop fees, per-visit minimums and mobile service fees.

Not one line on any of the three prices a puncture repair.

The two Atlanta businesses that do publish a repair price

Both read 2026-09-20.

3030 Roadside, on its own site: "The starting price for Mobile Tire Repair Service is $75 or more depending on the location of the vehicle and the type of tire." Its published scope is exact and worth having: "A tire repair is when we plug, or patch a repairable puncture in the tread area of your flat tire. Valve stem replacement is also available if needed," and "We DO NOT repair donut tires, temporary tires, or tires with sidewall damage."

DaniGold Mobile Tires, in its FAQ: "The cost of mobile tire repair services can vary, but at DaniGold Mobile Tires, it ranges from $40 to $60 to fix a flat tire or mount new tires."

Read that second one carefully before you use it as a price. The sentence covers two different jobs in one range — repairing a flat or mounting new tires — and no call-out fee, minimum charge, disposal fee or TPMS charge is published anywhere on that site. It is a headline range, not a rate card, and it cannot be lined up against a $110.00 per-visit minimum or a $75 starting price without saying so.

A third, Downtown Atlanta Mobile Tire Repair, publishes numbers that look like prices but are not its own. Its page says "Most mechanics will charge between $50 and $75 to fix a flat tire" — that is commentary about the market, not a rate. We have not recorded it as a competitor price.

The row where we lose, published anyway

3030 Roadside's published starting price for a mobile tire repair is $75 or more. Ours is $145, fixed. On the face of it they start below us.

What we will not do is subtract those two numbers and declare a winner, because they are not the same object. Theirs is a starting price that its own sentence says varies "depending on the location of the vehicle and the type of tire", with no published ceiling, no published call-out position and a scope that excludes donut, temporary and sidewall-damaged tires. Ours is the whole visit: travel, the wheel off, the tire off the rim, the inside inspected, a plug and patch, rebalance, TPMS reset, refit, with no line added afterwards.

Compare the shape of the two offers and decide. We would rather print their number than pretend it does not exist.

The same business, two rate cards, one day

3030 Roadside is the clearest example in Atlanta of why you cannot mix channels. On 2026-09-20 it published, simultaneously:

  • Through the Tire Rack directory: a $150.00 per-visit minimum, a $100.00 mobile service fee, mounting and balancing at $40.00 for 0-35 series and $35.00 for every other band, $5.00 a tire disposal, $5.00 a tire run-flat service, $5.00 a tire TPMS rebuild kit, and a four-tire total of $280.00 for the frozen job.
  • On its own site: "The starting price for Mobile Tire Repair Service is $75 or more", "The starting price for Our Tire Change Service is $75 or more", and "The starting price for our Flat Tire No Spare Service is $210 or more depending on the type and location of vehicle and tire size."

Those are not comparable figures and they should never be subtracted from each other. The $210 "Flat Tire No Spare" price includes a replacement tire. The $280 Tire Rack total is fitting only, on tires bought from Tire Rack. Different jobs, different channels, same afternoon.

Its opening hours disagree between channels too, and we have not resolved that either: see who is open now in Atlanta.

What a replacement costs here, if that is the real question

A repair costs a fraction of a tire, so the number you are actually comparing against is usually a set of four. The Tire Rack directory prices the identical job across all twenty Atlanta-area listings. Read 2026-09-20, four 225/65R17 on a 2020 Toyota RAV4 AWD LE, fitting only, excluding sales tax by Tire Rack's own footnote:

Listing Four-tire total Distance from 30306
Discount Tire, 4900 Peachtree Rd, Chamblee GA 30341 $116.00 8 miles, outside the City of Atlanta
Pep Boys 0314, 2399 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta GA 30324 $120.98 3 miles, in-city
Neighborhood Tire Pros, 3589 Memorial Drive, Decatur GA 30032 $130.20 7 miles
AAA Car Care Plus, Toco Hills $134.00 4 miles
Goodyear Auto Svc Ctr #2164, Tucker GA $140.00 8 miles
Firestone Complete Auto Care, 1776 Howell Mill Rd NW $145.20 8 miles
Midtown Tire - Ponce, 411 Ponce De Leon Ave NE $152.00 2 miles
Neighborhood Tire Pros, 307 Clairemont Ave, Decatur $178.20 5 miles
Tire Rack Mobile Installation (mobile) $220.00 at your address
Tirewire LLC (mobile) $245.70 at your address
3030 Roadside Mobile Tire Shop (mobile) $280.00 at your address

Ranked over the three mobile listings on that page, Tire Rack's own vans are the cheapest at $220.00. Ranked over the seventeen fixed shops, the cheapest is Discount Tire at $116.00 and the dearest is Neighborhood Tire Pros Decatur at $178.20.

Check the geography before you use the cheapest row. Discount Tire at $116.00 is in Chamblee, eight miles out and outside the City of Atlanta — a suburban price. The cheapest genuinely in-city fixed shop on that page is Pep Boys on Piedmont Road NE at $120.98.

So the mobile premium depends entirely on which fixed price you hold it against. $220.00 minus the suburban $116.00 is $104.00, or $26.00 a tire. $220.00 minus the in-city $120.98 is $99.02, or $24.76 a tire. Both subtractions use two totals published on the same page, on the same day, for the same job.

Two more mobile cards carry their own quirks worth knowing. Tirewire adds "Shop Fee (% of Install Cost) 5%" — the only percentage fee on any of the three Atlanta mobile cards — and it is registered in Austell, about fifteen miles west of Downtown, so it is a Cobb County business serving Atlanta rather than an Atlanta one. Tire Rack's own van programme is filed under a Doraville 30340 address while showing as 0.00 miles for an in-town ZIP, which is a genuine in-town service with a suburban registration.

The one Georgia line that really is a tax

Most "fees" on a tire invoice are commercial charges the business chose. Georgia has one that is not. O.C.G.A. Section 12-8-40.1(h)(1)(A), verbatim:

A fee is imposed upon the sale of all new replacement tires in this state at a rate of $1.00 per tire sold. The fee shall be imposed on and collected by distributors at the time the distributor sells a new replacement tire to any person.

Subsection (h)(3): "The tire fees authorized in this subsection shall cease to be collected on June 30, 2032." Georgia EPD records who collects it now: "On July 1, 2023, the responsibility for collecting and remitting the $1 fee on new tires sold shifted from the retailers to distributors."

You can watch it land. Tire Rack's checkout for ZIP 30306 on 2026-09-20 showed "Required State Fee: $4.00" against a cart of four tires. One dollar a tire, exactly as written.

One more thing that checkout shows, and it is worth a look before you assume a quoted installation figure is the final one: the $220.00 mobile installation fee was excluded from the order total entirely, under the verbatim footnote "*Sales tax not included. Installation fee will be charged separately by Tire Rack Mobile Installation(R)." So the tax you see at that checkout is charged on the tires, and the fitting is billed separately and untaxed at the point of sale. We are not going to state a combined Atlanta sales tax rate on this page: the City of Atlanta straddles Fulton and DeKalb, and we have not read the rate for each county at source.

Names that are not options in Atlanta

Several well-known mobile services appear in other cities and not here. Checked 2026-09-20 specifically so that a competitor set from another metro does not get copied onto this page:

  • Zohr lists exactly three metros on its own locations page — Kansas City, Greater Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth. Georgia and Atlanta appear nowhere on it. Its itemised Dallas prices are Dallas prices and have no place here.
  • Roadz Mobile Tire states, verbatim, "We serve the Treasure Valley and Vancouver, WA".
  • Discount Tire's mobile installation programme was not offered for Atlanta. Discount Tire appears in the Atlanta directory only as a fixed store in Chamblee.

And a gap we are going to name rather than fill: Tread Connection, GoMobile Tires, SimpleTire's installer network, Wrench, Mavis and Goodyear Mobile Garage were not checked for Atlanta in this pass. Not checked is not the same as not here, and we are not going to write either way.

Our price: $145, and $50 for each extra tire

A mobile puncture repair is $145 for the first tire and $50 for each additional tire in the same visit. That is the price, not an estimate and not a starting figure. It covers getting to you, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on. If the damage turns out not to be repairable, we tell you on the spot: the inspection is charged and the repair is not.

No call-out line, no disposal line, no valve stem line, no TPMS line, no shop fee percentage added afterwards. Set that against the per-visit charges the three Atlanta mobile installers publish: a $110.00 minimum, a $100.00 minimum plus a $50.00 mobile service fee, and a $150.00 minimum plus a $100.00 mobile service fee.

The question that actually decides the bill

A repair is cheap next to a tire, so the real question is whether you are buying one anyway. In Georgia there is a number that answers it: 2/32 of an inch, measurable in all major grooves, for every vehicle, under O.C.G.A. 40-8-74(e)(1). There is just nobody scheduled to measure it, because Title 40 Chapter 8 contains no periodic safety inspection for a passenger car. So we measure every major groove at the visit and tell you the numbers. The Georgia tread law page explains where that figure comes from and how to check it yourself.

Repair or replace a tire covers the call, what mobile tire replacement costs covers the alternative, find your tire size covers what you would be buying, and why we will not fit used tires covers the cheapest option we decline. How we compare with Tire Rack Mobile Installation has more of its published figures.

In Atlanta: mobile tire repair, flat tire repair, a nail in the tire, a slow leak, run-flats, who is open now, pothole damage and our Atlanta service area.

Questions people ask

  • What does one tire cost to fit in Atlanta? With Tire Rack's own vans, $110.00, because its published $110.00 per-visit minimum is above its published $55.00 per-tire rate. Four tires is $220.00, where the minimum does not bind. Both figures read from its Atlanta card on 2026-09-20.
  • Does anyone in Atlanta publish a mobile repair price? Two do. 3030 Roadside publishes "$75 or more" as a starting price, and DaniGold publishes "$40 to $60 to fix a flat tire or mount new tires", a sentence that covers two jobs. Neither Tire Rack's Atlanta vans nor Tirewire prices a repair at all.
  • Is your price the cheapest in Atlanta? No. 3030 Roadside's published starting price for a mobile tire repair is below our fixed $145. Theirs varies by vehicle location and tire type and excludes donut, temporary and sidewall-damaged tires; ours is the whole visit with nothing added afterwards.
  • What is the $1.00 state fee on my invoice? A real Georgia tax. O.C.G.A. 12-8-40.1(h)(1)(A) imposes $1.00 per new replacement tire, collected by distributors since 1 July 2023, and due to cease on 30 June 2032. Tire Rack's 30306 checkout showed it as "Required State Fee: $4.00" on four tires.
  • Is there a call-out fee? Not with us. All three mobile installers on the Tire Rack Atlanta directory publish one: a $110.00 minimum, a $100.00 minimum plus $50.00, and a $150.00 minimum plus $100.00, read 2026-09-20.
  • Why is the cheapest shop price not the one you compare against? Because it is in Chamblee, eight miles out and outside the city. The cheapest in-city fixed shop on that page is Pep Boys on Piedmont Road NE at $120.98. A price that is real somewhere else is not a price in this metro.
  • Do I pay if the tire cannot be repaired? Yes, for the inspection, because establishing it means travelling to the car, removing the wheel and taking the tire off the rim. The repair is not charged if it was not done.
