Start with the tire

What do you need?

How many tires?

No account needed.

You book, the price is on screen in minutes, and we come to where the car is parked. No callback, no estimate visit, no separate call-out charge stacked on the number you saw. The wheel comes off the car, the tire comes off the rim, and you hear what is actually wrong before anything is charged for fixing it.

The Atlanta household this is built for

Not the one with no car. The one with exactly one.

On the ACS 2020 to 2024 five-year estimates, 48.4 percent of Atlanta's 236,468 occupied housing units keep exactly one vehicle, against 14.2 percent with none and 37.4 percent with two or more. A household with one car and a 26.5 minute mean commute cannot hand that car to a shop for half a day and collect it later without arranging a second trip to go and get it.

The counterweight is the thing that makes Atlanta unusual: 29.7 percent of the city's workers work at home, the highest share of the five HopTire cities researched so far — Atlanta 29.7, Denver 27.3, Pittsburgh 22.4, Chicago 21.0, Dallas 15.8, all from one request against the same release. In a lot of Atlanta households the car is parked at the same address the person is working from. That is the easiest possible visit for us and the cheapest possible morning for you.

What we do when we get there

  1. Check the pressure in all four tires against the door placard, not the number moulded into the tire. What the tire pressure placard means covers the difference.
  2. Take the affected wheel off the car.
  3. Demount the tire and inspect the inner liner. This is the step that tells the truth. A puncture that looks like a tidy nail hole from outside can have chewed the liner into something no patch will seal.
  4. Repair it, or tell you it cannot be repaired.
  5. Remount, rebalance that wheel, reset the TPMS where the vehicle supports it at the roadside, and set the pressure to the placard.

The rules for step four are the US Tire Manufacturers Association's, not ours: tread area only, damage no wider than a quarter of an inch, the tire off the wheel so the liner can be inspected, and a plug and a patch fitted together as one repair. A plug pushed in from outside without removing the tire is not a repair; it is a way of not looking.

A local operator publishes the same boundary in its own words. 3030 Roadside, on its Atlanta site, read 2026-09-20: "A tire repair is when we plug, or patch a repairable puncture in the tread area of your flat tire," and "We DO NOT repair donut tires, temporary tires, or tires with sidewall damage." That is the standard, and anybody in this city who will patch a sidewall for you is selling you something that is not a repair.

When a flat is not a repair

Three situations turn this into a replacement. Knowing them before you book is what stops the price moving.

The tire was driven on flat. Running on a deflated tire destroys the sidewall from the inside, and there is often nothing at all to see from outside. Distance matters more than time. Tell us roughly how far you drove on it; that single answer changes the likely outcome more than anything else you can give us.

The damage is in the sidewall or the shoulder. Not repairable. Not by us, not by anyone following the standard. Georgia's own tire statute has a matching clause, and it is worth knowing: O.C.G.A. 40-8-74(e)(2) requires tires to "be free from any cuts, breaks, or snags on tread and sidewall deep enough to expose body cord", and (e)(3) requires them to "be free from bumps, bulges, or separations". Those are legal conditions on top of the tread depth figure, and they do not care how much tread is left.

The tread is already at the line. Georgia sets that line at 2/32 of an inch "measurable in all major grooves" under 40-8-74(e)(1), and it applies to every vehicle, not only to commercial ones. It also schedules nobody to measure it: no article of Title 40 Chapter 8 creates a periodic safety inspection for a passenger car. We measure it for you, in every major groove, while the tire is off the wheel. The Georgia tread law page explains where the number comes from and how to check it yourself between visits.

If it is a replacement, we supply and fit the tire at the same address on the same visit. We do not fit tires bought elsewhere and we do not sell used tires. Repair or replace a tire covers the decision; what mobile tire replacement costs covers the number.

If the flat arrived in the rain

It often will. Atlanta records 113.3 days a year with measurable rain over the 1991 to 2020 normals at Hartsfield-Jackson, and 14.6 of those deliver an inch or more.

Heavy rain does not stop us reaching you, but it does change what we can safely do at the kerb, and it changes what a covered space is worth. Tire repair in the rain in Atlanta is the operational page: what we can do at an address in a downpour, what we cannot, and what happens to the booking if the sky opens on the window you picked.

If it went flat with nothing in it

A flat with no nail, no screw and no impact is a different problem: a leaking valve stem, a corroded bead seat, a damaged wheel, or a slow loss that finally caught up with you overnight. Tire losing air with no nail in it walks through the causes, and slow leak repair in Atlanta covers the tire that has been going down for weeks. All of them still need the tire off the wheel to confirm.

Our price: $145, and $50 for each extra tire

A mobile puncture repair is $145 for the first tire and $50 for each additional tire in the same visit. That is the price, not an estimate and not a starting figure. It covers getting to you, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on. There is no separate call-out fee. If the damage turns out not to be repairable, we tell you on the spot: the inspection is charged and the repair is not.

Questions people ask

  • Can you repair a flat where my car is parked? Yes, where the space is legal, level, paved and has room to work around one corner of the car. Driveways, workplace lots and most parking decks qualify. Tell us which you have when you book.
  • I drove a few blocks on it. Does that matter? Often yes. Driving on a deflated tire damages the sidewall internally, and that damage is not repairable and not visible from outside. We tell you at the inspection rather than patching something that should not be patched.
  • Do I pay if the tire turns out to be unrepairable? You pay for the inspection, because finding out means coming to the car, removing the wheel and taking the tire off the rim. You do not pay for a repair that was not done.
  • Is there a call-out fee on top? No. The visit sits inside the price shown online, and if we arrive and the space is not safe to work in, that visit is not charged.
  • Will you fit the tire I ordered online? No. We supply the tires we fit, which is how one business answers for both the tire and the work.
  • Will you tell me if my tread is illegal? We will tell you the number in every major groove and what Georgia's figure is. O.C.G.A. 40-8-74(e)(1) sets 2/32 of an inch in all major grooves, for every vehicle.
  • Is this roadside assistance? No. We book a visit to a car parked at a fixed address. A car stopped in traffic needs a tow first.
