Gateway Green Valley Ranch is the largest of Denver's 78 statistical neighbourhoods by population: 47,214 residents in 16,212 occupied units, 72.1% owner occupied. 71.0% of the housing is single family detached with front loaded garages, and it holds 1,440 scored street segments, more than any other neighbourhood of the eighteen we profiled.
It also behaves like its own labour market. 67.0% drive alone to work and 14.3% carpool, the highest carpool share of the eighteen and more than double the citywide 6.3%. Only 14.7% work at home, and the mean commute is 27.0 minutes. 36.9% of households keep two cars and 30.0% keep three or more.
We supply the tires and fit them where the car is parked, out here and across Denver. One price, shown before you book, with the visit in it.
A carpool is somebody else's morning
14.3% carpooling is not a statistic, it is four people in a car at six in the morning. When that car has a flat, three other schedules break with it.
This is the case for a scheduled visit rather than a shop appointment. The car stays on the drive, you pick the slot, and nobody covers a ride. If two household cars need tires, book it as two and we bring both sets on one visit.
Driveways everywhere, and no alleys at all
Parking is the easy part of Green Valley Ranch. Every house has a driveway, no permit area covers the neighbourhood, and none of Denver's 971 permit designated street segments is out here.
The street plan has no alley grid, and the city's data shows it: council district 11, this neighbourhood plus Montbello, recorded zero alley pothole requests to 311 across the five full years 2019 to 2023. What we need is on the drive anyway: level, paved ground, a legally parked car and clear room at one corner. A garage with the car in it and a foot either side is not that, so roll it out before the slot.
New pavement, and the winter that works on it
The neighbourhood averages 80.9 on Denver DOTI's pavement condition index across those 1,440 segments, from a worst of 31 to a best of 97. That is among the best in the city, because the streets are recent.
They still get worked on. Denver crosses freezing in both directions on roughly 136 days a year, derived from NOAA 1991 to 2020 normals at Denver Central Park: 156.5 days with a low at or below 32 Fahrenheit against only 21.0 that never rise above it, about 1.7 times Chicago's count. Freezing every night and thawing every afternoon is what breaks asphalt open, and it is why complaints peak in March.
Nobody can tell you how many holes are on your street. Denver's 311 data carries an empty neighbourhood field on every row and the archives stop at 2023, so the finest honest unit is the council district. District 11 filed 964 street pothole requests over 2019 to 2023, fewest of the eleven, and that is complaints rather than a survey.
After a storm, out here
Denver's residential snow programme covers about 1,260 centre lane miles with 4x4 pickups, and the city is direct about what that produces: one pass down the centre of every side street, the top few inches of pack shaved off, no bare pavement exposed, and no de-icer, because the small trucks do not carry it.
That is fine when the car is on a cleared driveway, the normal case here. On a snow packed kerb it is not, and we will rebook rather than jack a car on ice.
What we do not do
We fit the tires we supply, so a set bought elsewhere is out. No alignment, no rotation alone, no balancing alone, no brakes, no emergency roadside. A sloped driveway is the common local blocker, and we will move the car flat first.
What a repair costs
A mobile puncture repair on the first tire is $145, firm, with no call-out charge. Wheel off, tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch to the industry method, remount, rebalance, TPMS reset where the car has one, refit. If it cannot be repaired safely we show you why and charge nothing.
Questions people ask
- Can you come before a six o'clock carpool? Book the earliest slot and tell us the deadline when you book, not on the day.
- My driveway slopes. Is that a problem? Sometimes. We need the car level, so we may move it to the flat kerb.
- What size does my car take? Sidewall or driver's door placard: find your tire size.
- The tire keeps going down with nothing in it. Short list of causes: a tire losing air with no nail.
- Two cars in one appointment? Yes, booked as two at one address.
- Is it more to come out to the airport side of the city? No: mobile tire replacement cost is the whole price.
