Tire quote checker: compare the full installed cost
Compare mobile tire quotes without missing travel, TPMS, disposal, or tax. Use a line-item worksheet, clear unknowns, and a worked arithmetic example.
Your tires, handled. Service at your car. A real person on your side.

Where is the car parked?
Any US ZIP. No account needed.
The numbers on this page are public ranges for readers, gathered with their sources and dates. They are not our price. Your price comes from the form above and from the tire you confirm with us.
Compare quotes for the same tire, quantity, address, and work. Add all required charges once, separate optional products, and leave unknown fees unresolved. A lower tire price does not establish a lower installed total. This worksheet checks completeness and arithmetic; it does not estimate a market price or issue a HopTire quote.
First lock the job definition
Record the exact tire model and full specification, quantity, vehicle, installation address, appointment window, and who supplies the tires. Include wheel modifications and any tire-pressure monitoring system, or TPMS, issue. If quotes specify different tires, label that difference before comparing totals.
Line-item worksheet
| Line | Amount | Included elsewhere? | Required or optional? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tire product subtotal | Enter written amount | Usually its own line | Required if buying tires |
| Mounting and balancing | Enter written amount | Check installation bundle | Required work to confirm |
| Mobile travel or call-out | Enter written amount | Check package | Confirm |
| Valve parts or service kits | Enter written amount | Check installation bundle | Confirm exact work |
| TPMS diagnosis, relearn, or new sensor | Separate each operation | Do not assume one includes another | Confirm |
| Disposal and stated fees | Enter written amount | Check installation bundle | Confirm |
| Tax | Use provider's written tax amount | Do not add twice | Confirm |
| Optional protection plan | Separate amount | Do not hide in base price | Your choice |
| Other work | Name and authorize it | Check overlap | Confirm |
| Deposit already paid | Record as payment, not another charge | Deduct from balance only | Confirm terms |
NHTSA distinguishes direct and indirect TPMS systems. That is one reason “TPMS included” is not a sufficiently precise description of the work. NHTSA TireWise, checked September 19, 2026.
Arithmetic you can check by hand
Required total = product + required labor + required fees + quoted tax.
Chosen total = required total + optional products you accept.
Balance due = chosen total - payments already credited.
Do not tax every line with one guessed percentage. Tax treatment varies; request the provider's itemized tax calculation.
Worked example: invented numbers, not market rates
Quote A lists $600 tires, $120 installation, $50 travel, $16 disposal, and $55.02 tax. The required total is $841.02. A separate $80 protection plan would make the chosen total $921.02.
Quote B lists $580 tires and a $200 installation/travel package including disposal, plus $54.60 tax. Its required total is $834.60.
B is $6.42 lower only if both quotes cover the same tires and required work. If A leaves mandatory TPMS work unknown, neither total is ready for a final comparison. These numbers illustrate arithmetic only.
Do not confuse a warranty with an installation inclusion
A manufacturer's warranty and an optional retailer protection product are different. Discount Tire's own warranty explainer makes that distinction. Tire warranty guide, checked September 19, 2026.
Use the warranty checklist to record responsible parties and exclusions. Do not assume a bundle makes every future service free or mobile.
Your result has three possible states
- Comparable: exact scope, required fees, and written totals are complete.
- Comparable with differences: differences are explicit and matter to your decision.
- Incomplete: any required line or service condition is unknown.
Send the incomplete lines back to the provider. Do not silently enter zero to make the calculation finish. No “normal price” range replaces a complete quote.
