The listings that say 24 hours

Our Google Maps sweep for this metro, captured 2026-09-20, records "Open 24 hours" against seven listings that carry a 912 or 843 area code and a Chatham-area address: Tee's Mobile Tire Service, Faith's 24 Hr Mobile Tire Service & Roadside Assistance, Waters 24 Hour Tire Service and Roadside Assistance, All Times Tires and mobile services, 2J's Mobile Tire Shop, Interstate Mobile Tire, and Unique southern used mobile tires.

Read that as what it is. It is seven listings in one sweep, not a census, and we are not going to turn it into a count of the mobile tire businesses in Savannah — that sweep pulled in a large number of New York and New Jersey businesses that have nothing to do with this city, so any total taken from it would be wrong by a wide margin. What the seven support is narrower and still worth knowing: round-the-clock availability is the normal advertised posture in this metro, and it is advertised almost entirely by businesses with nothing published behind it.

Tee's Mobile Tire Service is the one of the seven with a website we could read in full. It leads with "24-Hour Mobile Tire Service in Savannah, Pooler & Hilton Head" and "Mobile tire service across Savannah, the Lowcountry and I-95. Roadside, jobsite, or your own driveway — any hour, day or night." It names its coverage explicitly — Savannah, Pooler, Garden City, Richmond Hill, Riceboro, Hardeeville SC, Bluffton SC, Hilton Head SC and "I-95 FROM EXIT 33 DOWN TO BRUNSWICK" — and describes the repair properly: "we pull the tire, find the puncture, and repair it properly wherever you are parked."

There is no price on it. No call-out fee, no rate card, no figure of any kind.

Three more never resolved at all. LCT Mobile Tires, listed as open 24 hours, returned only a Cloudflare interstitial — "One moment, please... Please wait while your request is being verified..." — to both a browser and a direct fetch on 2026-09-20, and never loaded. Two I-95 listings sharing a South Carolina phone number did the same, and one of the two is named for truck tires. We record no price and no service scope for any of them, because we could not read one.

Several of the seven have no website field in the sweep at all.

So what "open now" actually costs you here

If the thing you need at 11pm is someone to come out, the businesses advertising that are reachable by phone and will quote you on the phone. That is a legitimate way to buy and we are not going to sneer at it.

What it is not is comparable. You cannot line up two of those quotes against each other before you call, you cannot see whether a call-out fee is inside or on top, and the one operator in this metro whose figures are published anywhere publishes a $100.00 per-visit mobile service fee — the only per-visit fee in that seventeen-installer directory, and higher than every mobile call-out we recorded in Dallas, where Zohr publishes $69, Supreme $75 and Via $50. If a fee like that can exist in this market and only be visible on a third party's site, the sensible assumption about an unpublished after-hours price is that you will find out at the end.

Our answer to that is boring and deliberate: the price is on screen before you book, the visit is inside it, and if we cannot do it today the page says so rather than a person saying so tomorrow.

What is open that is not mobile

Discount Tire publishes free flat repair at all its stores and has two in this metro, on Abercorn Street in 31419 and in Pooler. That is the cheapest route to a repaired tire in Savannah by a distance — it costs nothing — and the same page states "We don't offer mobile tire repair at this time." The other sixteen entries in the 31401 directory are fixed shops, and the nearest of them to the Historic District is 8 miles out at the Firestone on Skidaway Rd, on the directory's own mileage.

The weather constraint nobody advertises

Worth knowing if you are booking an afternoon in high summer. Counted from the thunder flag in the daily record at Savannah/Hilton Head International over 2015-2025, this station averages 68.8 thunder days a year, and 16.8 of them fall in July — more than one day in two. June averages 12.8 and August 14.4.

For any service that works outdoors, the summer afternoon is the least reliable part of the working day here, and an operator who promises a window without mentioning that is promising something the sky decides. It covers getting to you, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on. There is no separate call-out fee. If the damage turns out not to be repairable, we tell you on the spot: the inspection is charged and the repair is not, and if no same-day visit takes place the same-day element is refunded.

We need level, paved, legal ground with room to work at one corner of the car. If we arrive and the space is not safe to work in, that visit is not charged.
