What do you need?

How many tires?

No account needed.

Two neighbourhoods share a name here and they are not the same place. West Highland averages 80.6 on Denver DOTI's pavement condition index across 321 scored street segments, and its worst individual segment scores 55, the highest floor of the eighteen Denver neighbourhoods we profiled. Highland, immediately east, averages 65.4 with a worst segment of 10.

The household picture splits the same way. 2.6% of West Highland households keep no car, against 9.1% in Highland. 47.6% keep two and 13.6% keep three or more, so 61.2% run two cars or more.

We supply the tires and fit them where the car is parked, in West Highland and across Denver. The price is visible before you book and the visit is in it.

An alley and garage grid, which makes this easy

52.6% of units here are single family detached and 15.1% single family attached, on the classic northwest Denver grid with a garage off the alley. 55.7% are owner occupied.

No permit area covers West Highland. Denver's 22 permit areas cover 971 street segments in the entire city and none is here, so the kerb outside is free and unrestricted.

For us that means most West Highland addresses work without planning: a driveway apron, a pad behind the house, or the street in front. What we need does not change: level, paved ground, legally parked, clear room at one corner.

Two cars is a reason to book, not a reason not to

A two car household sounds like the one that can spare a car for a day. In practice it is two sets of tires wearing at different rates, and two trips to a shop nobody wants to make.

We can do both cars in one visit at one address if you book it that way, so the slot is long enough and both sets are on the van. Worth doing in October, before the traction season gets serious, rather than in March.

The mountain rule that catches Denver drivers

56.2% of West Highland residents drive alone to work and only 1.0% take transit, the lowest transit share of the eighteen neighbourhoods we profiled. Many of those cars go west at weekends.

Colorado's Traction Law applies on I-70 between milepost 133 at Dotsero and milepost 259 at Morrison from 1 September to 31 May, under C.R.S. 42-4-106. Morrison is about fifteen miles from downtown, so the corridor starts at Denver's western edge and the season runs nine months whatever the city weather does.

The tread threshold in the statute is three sixteenths of an inch. That is six thirty-seconds, three times the two thirty-seconds at which C.R.S. 42-4-228 treats a tire as unsafe to drive on at all. A tire that is legal on 38th Avenue can leave you non-compliant on the way to the tunnel.

Senate Bill 25-069, signed in 2025, changed the four wheel drive clause so tread depth alone is no longer enough: the tire must also carry a mountain snowflake, M+S or M/S marking, or be manufacturer rated all-weather. CDOT states on its Traction Law page that this applies to all 4WD and AWD vehicles. The statute's all-wheel-drive clause was not amended the same way, so follow what CDOT tells drivers. All-season, all-weather and winter tires explains the markings.

In a market where CarMax found 72.23% of its own Denver sales from 2004 to 2018 were four wheel or all wheel drive, first of the cities it ranked, that reaches a lot of cars. We ask about drivetrain at booking, because on an all wheel drive car the honest answer to one tire or four is often four.

What we do not do

We fit the tires we supply, so a set bought elsewhere is out. No alignment, no rotation alone, no balancing alone, no brakes, no emergency roadside. A narrow single-width garage with the car already in it is the address we usually ask to move to the kerb.

The repair price

$145 for a mobile puncture repair on the first tire, firm. Wheel off, tire demounted and inspected from the inside, plug and patch to the industry method, remount, rebalance, TPMS reset where the car has it, wheel back on. No call-out charge, and nothing to pay for a repair we cannot do properly.

Questions people ask

  • Can you work in the alley behind the house? Usually, if the surface is sound and we are not blocking it for a neighbour.
  • Do I need winter tires to drive to the mountains? Not necessarily, but CDOT's guidance sets 3/16 inch of tread and a marked or all-weather rated tire for 4WD and AWD vehicles.
  • Both cars, one appointment? Yes. Book two and we bring both sets.
  • Where do the off-season tires go? Tire storage, booked on its own.
  • Is there a call-out fee out here? No: mobile tire replacement cost is the price.
  • The tire went flat on the drive overnight. Leave it there and leave it flat: a flat in the driveway.
