What tire repair costs in Denver

Almost nobody here will tell you before you call. Of the eight Denver mobile tire listings in our Google Maps sweep of 2026-09-16, six have a website, and when we checked all six live on 2026-09-20, none published a fitting price. That sweep is likely to undercount the market, so treat eight as a floor rather than a census.

That is why this site puts a number on screen before it asks you for anything. What follows is what sits inside a Denver tire bill, so you can check any quote you get, ours included.

What a mobile repair price has to cover

A mobile puncture repair covers travelling to the car, taking the wheel off, demounting the tire, inspecting the inner liner, fitting a plug and a patch, remounting, rebalancing that wheel, resetting the TPMS where supported, and setting the pressure to the door placard. There is no separate call-out fee on top of that with us.

Press any quote on the inspection too. A repair price that leaves it out is not a repair price, because under the US Tire Manufacturers Association standard the inspection is part of the repair: tread area only, nothing wider than a quarter of an inch, tire off the wheel, plug and patch together.

The Denver numbers we could actually get

Since none of them publish one, we asked. Both figures below are for the same standard job, fitting four customer-supplied tires on a 2020 Toyota RAV4 in 225/65R17 at a residential driveway.

SJ Tire Company quoted $202.96, observed 2026-09-19. Its stored breakdown is $175.00 for the service, $11.96 for four valve stems and $16.00 for four-tire disposal, with tax and mandatory fees included. Its own site states there is no additional fee for coming to you.

Tires Xpress quoted $284.60, observed 2026-09-20: a $220.00 service bundle, $34.00 for four valve stems, $20.00 disposal, $2.98 tax and a percentage payment fee. Worth noting that its itemised amounts do not independently add up to the stated total.

That is $81.64 between two quotes for identical work, about 40% more from the second. Per tire, $50.74 against $71.15.

The marketplace rate is not the market rate

SimpleTire publishes mobile fitting prices for the Denver area where the fitters themselves do not. JMC Mobile Tire Services lists at $114.99 a tire, which is $459.96 for four. On-Site Tires LLC lists at $104.00 a tire, $416.00 for four, and SimpleTire gives that shop's location as Golden rather than Denver. Both listings describe mounting, balancing, rubber valve stems, disposal, shipping to the installer and a TPMS reset, with a four-tire minimum.

Set those against the local quotes above at $50.74 and $71.15 a tire. The two marketplace rates run between 1.5 and 2.3 times what a Denver fitter charged us directly, depending on which pair you compare. The same pattern shows in Chicago, where the marketplace lists a mobile operator at $77.49 a tire against $253 for four booked direct, about $57 more for the identical van. Pricing mobile fitting through a marketplace is pricing something else.

One national name does not reach you at all. GoMobile Tires publishes 26 location pages, exactly one of them in Colorado, and that page bounds its service area to the Pikes Peak region and El Paso County.

What Colorado adds to the bill

About $8.00 on a set of four. C.R.S. 30-20-1403 puts a waste tire fee on new tires, collected by retailers of new motor vehicle tires. A tax-compliance publisher records that fee rising to $2.00 per new tire effective 1 January 2026, which is about $8.00 on a four-tire job. We are not publishing what it was before that date, because the statute and the secondary summary of the change disagree and we would rather leave a gap than print a number we cannot stand behind.

Nothing on a repair. The fee is on the sale of a new tire. A puncture repair does not carry it.

The question that decides the bill

A repair costs a fraction of a tire, so the real question is whether you should be buying one. C.R.S. 42-4-228(5)(c)(III) deems a tire unsafe below two thirty-seconds of an inch, and there is a second, deeper number in Colorado law: the Traction Law standard of three sixteenths of an inch, which is six thirty-seconds, on I-70 between Dotsero and Morrison from 1 September to 31 May.

So a tire with enough tread to be repaired can still be short of what the drive to the mountains asks of it. We measure at the visit and tell you which case you are in before anything is charged. The only published price we found on any Denver fitter's own site is a storage one: SJ Tire lists seasonal tire and wheel storage at $18.99 a month, which is about $114 across a six-month season. We are not selling storage in Denver: we resell it through a local partner at $150 a set for a six-month season, and no Denver partner has yet cleared the building, rate, insurance and retrieval checks we require. Our price: $145

A mobile puncture repair on one tire is $145. That is a price, not a range and not a starting point. It buys the trip out, the wheel off, the tire off the rim, an inspection of the inner liner, a plug and patch fitted to the tire industry standard, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where supported, and the pressure set to the placard. Nothing is added afterwards for the call-out.

Questions people ask

• Is there a call-out or travel fee? Not with us. The trip is inside the price shown. Elsewhere it is often a separate line, so ask for the total before anyone is dispatched.
• Why can I not find prices anywhere in Denver? Because the market does not publish them. Six of the eight Denver mobile listings in our 2026-09-16 sweep have websites, and none of the six showed a fitting price on 2026-09-20.
• What is the tire fee on my invoice? Colorado's waste tire fee under C.R.S. 30-20-1403, charged on new tires by the retailer, recorded at $2.00 per tire from 1 January 2026. It is per tire, not per visit, and it does not apply to a repair.
• Do I pay if the tire cannot be repaired? Yes, for the inspection. Travelling out, pulling the wheel and breaking the tire off the rim is how the answer is established, and that work happens either way. The repair is not charged if it was not done.
• Are marketplace prices a fair guide? Not here. The two Denver-area mobile rates on SimpleTire, $104.00 and $114.99 a tire, run roughly 1.8 to 2.0 times what local fitters quoted us directly for the same four-tire job.
