Start with the tire

What do you need?

How many tires?

No account needed.

Lawrenceville has a documented shortage of street parking, driven by new construction and commercial growth on a street layout that was never designed for this many cars. Row houses are common throughout the neighbourhood, with alleyways and converted warehouses behind them. Put those two facts together and you have the whole brief for a mobile tire fitter: the demand is here, the space to work is the constraint.

We supply tires and fit them where the car is standing, here and across Pittsburgh. You get the price online in minutes. No hidden fees, no callback, no estimate visit.

Three Lawrencevilles, one Butler Street

The census treats Lower, Central and Upper Lawrenceville separately, and they are genuinely different. Lower has 2,659 residents and is the young end, with 18.0% aged 18 to 24 and 17.6% of enrolled residents in college. Central has 4,746 residents and 2.9% aged 18 to 24. Upper has 2,484 and 1.9%. Owner-occupancy climbs as you go up the valley: 40.7%, 42.9%, then 57.8% in Upper.

What does not change is the car. Roughly half of workers drive in all three, 49.6%, 49.4% and 51.9%, so about the same share of each third needs its tires to work regardless of age or tenure. Upper Lawrenceville also has the highest work from home share of the three at 32.0%, which is a third of the neighbourhood whose car is parked and available all day.

Central Lawrenceville on its own filed 1,830 pothole reports to the city's 311 service between 2015 and 2022.

The alley is not automatically the answer

The rear alleys behind Lawrenceville row houses look like the obvious place to do this work. Sometimes they are. Often they are not, because an alley that is a shared right of way, or narrow enough that a van blocks it, or surfaced in broken brick and patch, is not somewhere a car can be jacked safely or a neighbour can get past.

We need the same three things everywhere: legal ground, level paved surface, and room to work at one corner of the car. A pad behind the house is ideal. A permit space on Butler or on one of the numbered streets works if it is not boxed in. A shared alley with no turning room does not.

Because kerb space is genuinely scarce here, tell us where the car will be when you book, not where it usually is. The city permit programme charges $40 per vehicle per year and $10 for an annual visitor pass per address, and street cleaning runs on posted days, so the space outside your door is not always yours to offer.

What normally goes wrong here

Two patterns. Screws and nails in the tread, in a neighbourhood whose own parking shortage is attributed to continuing new construction. And potholes on side streets carrying truck weight they were not built for.

The first is often repairable. Tread punctures under a quarter of an inch can take a plug and patch after the tire comes off the wheel and is inspected from the inside. The second frequently is not, because a rim strike damages the sidewall or the bead rather than the tread. If a tire is going down with nothing visible in it, tire losing air with no nail covers the likely causes.

What we do not do here

We supply the tires we fit, so tires bought elsewhere are out. No alignment, no rotation alone, no balancing alone, no brakes, no emergency roadside. If the only space you have is a blocked alley or a bumper to bumper permit spot, we will tell you before you pay rather than sending a van to find out.

Our price: $145

A mobile puncture repair on one tire is $145 with us. That is the price, not an estimate and not a starting figure. It covers the call-out, taking the wheel off, demounting and inspecting the tire from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and refitting. If the damage turns out not to be repairable, we tell you on the spot and you are not charged for the repair.

The only national mobile service that publishes a repair price at all is GoMobile Tires, at $175 (read 2026-09-20).

Questions people ask

  • Can you work in the alley behind my house? Sometimes. It has to be level, passable, and wide enough that the van is not blocking anybody. Describe it when you book.
  • There is nowhere to park on my street at all. Then the appointment has to follow the car. Work, a relative's driveway, anywhere with legal level space is fine.
  • I picked up a screw near a construction site. Usually the good outcome. Tread damage under a quarter inch is repairable once the tire is off the wheel and inspected properly.
  • Do you need my visitor permit? It helps if the van will be at the kerb for an hour in a permit area. Say so when you book.
  • Can you come to my workplace instead? Yes, with the property owner's agreement and legal level space.
  • What does a replacement cost? Priced online for your car and tire before anyone is dispatched. See mobile tire replacement cost.
