55.6% of the 12,796 occupied units in ZIP 75208 are one-unit detached houses, against 41.3% across Dallas, and the median unit falls in the 1950s build band. 54.2% are owner-occupied. This is the pre-war and post-war bungalow grid on the far side of the Trinity, and it behaves nothing like the rental towers three miles north-east.
The vehicle column follows the housing. 36.0% of households here keep two cars and 17.5% keep three or more, against 15.3% citywide; 40.8% keep one and 5.7% keep none. 66.6% drive alone, 8.8% carpool and the mean commute is 24.2 minutes (derived from ACS table B08013, aggregate travel time over workers who did not work at home).
We supply the tires and fit them at the house, here and across Dallas. No call-out fee, no estimate visit.
A detached house is a good bet, not a guarantee
A detached-house share this high is the closest thing Dallas gives us to a signal that there is room to work beside the car. It is a proxy and we will keep calling it one: the American Community Survey has no garage or off-street-parking variable and Dallas publishes no garage count, so nobody can tell you what share of North Oak Cliff homes have a driveway, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
What decides the job is the specific address. We need level, paved, legal ground with room to work at one corner of the car. On a 1950s lot that is usually the drive or the apron in front of the house. Where it is not — a narrow side return, a gravel pad, a car wedged between a fence and a neighbour's boundary — a legal kerb space on the same block normally solves it, and moving the car before we arrive takes two minutes.
The other 28.6% of units here sit in buildings of twenty or more, so plenty of North Oak Cliff addresses are apartments with shared parking. Tell us which you are and we will settle it at booking.
Concrete streets, spring complaints and a four-year survey
75208 filed 1,088 pothole requests to Dallas 311 between 2021 and 2025, rank 13 of the 68 ZIP strings present in the address field of the city's archive over those five years.
Dallas builds in concrete: the city's Street Treatment Selection Manual states that "All new streets in the City of Dallas are concrete streets unless approved otherwise by the Director of Public Works", and that asphalt-over-concrete is used on "approximately 15% of the City Streets". The same manual says that "In a typical year, the City improves around 5% of the roadway network", and that the condition survey is repeated only every four years because of the cost.
Complaints arrive in spring. Across the city, requests summed over 2021 to 2025 peak in May at 4,063 and reach their low in October at 2,331, with March through June carrying 41.5% of the year. The city's data says when, not why, so neither will we.
What is actually available on this side of the river
Discount Tire lists a store at 414 N Hampton Rd, inside this ZIP, in Tire Rack's Dallas installer directory — a fixed shop, with mounting and balancing published at $25.00 to $28.00 a tire by wheel diameter and a $4.00 disposal fee.
What it does not have is a mobile van. Discount Tire publishes the full list of stores offering its mobile installation: 39 in Texas, none of them in the City of Dallas, and the eleven nearest are suburban. The company also states: "We don't offer mobile tire repair at this time." (Both read 2026-09-20.)
That is the gap this page is about. If the car is on the drive and you want it fitted there, the fixed shop down the road cannot do it.
What we do not do
We supply the tires we fit, so a set bought elsewhere is out. No alignment, no rotation on its own, no balancing on its own, no brakes, no emergency roadside. Mobile puncture repair is in scope, subject to inspecting the tire from the inside once it is off the rim.
Our price: $145
A mobile puncture repair on one tire is $145. That is the price, not an estimate and not a starting figure. It covers getting to you, the wheel off, the tire demounted and inspected from the inside, a plug and patch fitted the way the tire industry requires, remounting, rebalancing, a TPMS reset where the vehicle supports it, and the wheel back on. If it cannot be repaired safely, we show you why and you pay nothing for the repair.
Questions people ask
- My drive is narrow and slopes to the street. Tell us at booking. If there is no level spot on the property, a kerb space on the block usually does it.
- Three cars, one afternoon? Fine. Book them together at the same address; there is no per-visit fee to multiply.
- The tire went down overnight on the drive. Leave it flat and leave it parked: a flat in the driveway and flat tire repair in Dallas.
- Do you work on gravel? No. It has to be level, paved and legal to jack a car safely.
- North-west of here, across the Trinity? That is West Dallas and Trinity Groves.
- How do I check the size before booking? From the door-frame placard: find your tire size.
